Flush Mount Tail Lights

Yeah, a programmer would certainly help. I was kind of hoping there would be some solution that did not require one. I'm not sure exactly how the tailight system works but I would assume some resister could be put inline that would make the Jeep think the voltage is the same as factory. I understand that we are working with aftermarket things here but it would be nice to retain the factory warning about the tail-lights being out which you lose by doing nothing or by using a programmer.

Appreciate the constructive feedback Yes, a resistor would show additional resistance (load) to the vehicle but the issue is there is already too much load because the draw and threshold for the LED lights is already so low. Showing more load would actually exasperate this issue but we are looking at other solutions.

The only thing that finally worked for me was going into the "Lights conversion US<->EURO & LED" section and setting the left and right rear turn lamp diagnostic pin to "Deactivated". Hit Go, waited for confirmation, hit the blinker, waited and about 20 seconds later the dash message and fast blink are gone.

this finally worked for me too. I have the factory LED package. Oracle recommended I contact JScan (via FB), and this is what the JScan developers recommended I try as well

Not really when you consider how many LEDs are in it and their brightness vs the halogen reverse lights. I'm pretty sure my headlights draw more than the factory halogens, but they are litterally 10 times brighter on high beam.

Not really when you consider how many LEDs are in it and their brightness vs the halogen reverse lights. I'm pretty sure my headlights draw more than the factory halogens, but they are litterally 10 times brighter on high beam.

We're referring to the OEM LED tails, not halogen.

The Oracle tails draw less than the OEM halogen, but more than the OEM LED.

I have a working solution for halogen which we are working with our factory to refine a bit. We are also looking into a solution for OEM LED users.

I received mine today and installed after lunch. I have factor LED set up and same problem here. Shows both taillights out on dash and fast blinks yet the blinkers outside actually flash at normal speed. Hmmmmm
Also not very happy with the gaps around the light and body of my truck. Not flush and will allow for dirt and water to collect behind light. Uggggg

Mine showed up today,but in the same boat as most with halogen lights the reverse doesn't work properly

@Oracle Designs is there any other solution that doesn’t lead to me having to spend more money on this “plug and play” product? I’m all ears.

We’ve been receiving these for a few weeks now, really surprised someone hasn’t posted a link to where they got some rubber strip to attach to the housing to hide the imperfections and seal out the dirt and moisture.
If I had my Gladiator already I would have posted for others benefit, but here I sit with a bunch of accessories and no vehicle…

My personal preference is for there NOT to be a gasket against the paint. Dirt would still get in between the gasket and paint, and any vibrations from driving will cause that gasket to act as fine grit sandpaper on your paint. My OEM tail lights had a slight gap (1/16" or so) all the way around the light housings, and the Oracles are similar.

I've been following along here too... I don't have these lights but it seems that just a small self adhesive weather stripping like this would do the trick to fill the gap? I've used this stuff on plenty of other little projects with success. I would assume you simply stick this to the Jeep body and let the light press against it. Or some door edge guard around the edge of the tail light itself? Maybe?

So I installed mine today. Had halogen lights but have a tazer. Lights work fine so far. No flickering. No messages about a bulb out. I thought the fitment was fine. Maybe a small gap on one side. As for a screw rubbing on them, there it’s no screw anywhere close to rubbing. Was an easy install. The only problem I had was I broke the red clip when I was plugging one of them in. I just taped it tight with electrical tape. Over all I’m very happy with them. They look great.
