Sunday... went to Tattoine.

No, not Tunisia - would cost a lot to ship the truck there. The Mud Caves in California's Anza Borrego desert are surreal. No offroading in this video other than the road is dirt/sand, no high speed jumping, just some brief great scenery. Hero 10 @ 4k60 with Hypersmooth maxxed. The caves are insane, we proceeded into the main one about 1/5 mile then said uh - we're done. Not sure how far they go.

Boring video Jeep wise just looks surreal.



YouTube has been processing this for an hour. Eventually the 4k60 will appear.

Went to cottage to do fall maintenance, got some birch wood (another truck and trailer full as well), winched the dock off high ground then moved for winter freeze up, wheeled a bit, checked out active loggin area and got stuck in deactivated soupy gravel mud. Winched out in couple minutes. Broke in or maybe I should say Scratched the hell outta one wheel when buried ? and a bit of the bumper. Got a bit famous BC pinstriping on the paint.

Did some road grouse hunting, got 4 of them tasty buggers, saw a 2/3 year old bear, and a 6 point buck. Saw Grizzly tracks.

All in all broke in the gladiator first real offroad duties. Had some good food, fires and drinks with family. Winter is coming.

First ever wheeling day spent at Uhwarrie National Forest. It’s been said before, but I was truly amazed at what the Gladiator can do. Such a blast.

I explored a trail I had never been on in the Modoc National Forest.

Reached the top of the hill (I think the highest point in Qatar) and played in the sand.

I used my lockers!
Took my boys around Anza Borrego and went to pull off the trail and immediately started bogging in the sand on a slight uphill. Put it in 4H and started digging again so quickly stopped. Then tried to back down and still seemed to dig.
I really didn’t want to try more and risk having to shovel out while my boys went to look for rattlesnakes and scorpions so I tried the lockers.
Crawled right out like nothing!
I know 99% of the time I don’t need ‘em but I sure was glad I had them today!
