Eco diesel Suspension bottoming out on normal roads

I had 4WP install what I thought was the Mopar 2" lift on my 2021 eco diesel, it bottomed out on the way home. after a month of researching the issue I got my hands on a Mopar parts list and checked the part numbers, I found that 4WP had not installed the eco diesel lift, they had installed the 3.6 gas engine lift. once the correct lift was installed the truck no longer bottoms out. since then I have installed the metal cloak 3 1/2 springs up front to try to eliminate the rake I have not had any bottom out issues with those either.

Yeah softer springs in the gas lift for sure! Are you running the mopar 2" springs in the rear and metal cloak 3.5" up front with the LCA provided from Mopar in their kit?

To follow on with PackMule.. So far I have not received any ETR on the TSB. Jeep actually started mentioning compensation routes.. since the dealer and regional field engineer said it should not be driven until fixed. However I told them to provide better clarity instead of asking what I want. So in essence until the official TSB and parts list is released my Gladiator is collecting good ole dust.

On a side note, as much as I am a massive Mopar Fan Boy.. this issue was one I wasn't willing to overlook.. Sometimes it's hard to be patient when I know what would fix this. I could have just run out and spent my own money to resolve.. This isn't really the right way to go about it. To me this just seemed like Jeep rushing to get units out, hoping everyone changes to aftermarket suspension and doesn't say anything. Maybe they were not able to get the correct parts for release and just strung it along until engineering provided a correct suspension for the weight of this front end. Either way. It sucks.. This is in fact a safety concern.. so there is no way it should have left like this.

It's great to see how a lot of constructive information was gathered in these threads to help one another.

I will try to keep you all posted.. I have another call with Jeep either today or tomorrow.

Compensation how? They just need to give us the stupid mopar lift.

1.5 inch Tereflex leveling kit, factory steel bumper, Warn 10s winch and I bottom out occasionally. Planning a lift anyway, but will be interesting to see what if anything Jeep does about the issue.

I've also heard from Jeep Customer Care that if you've installed a Mopar lift to resolve this issue, then save your receipts, and IF Corporate determines the fix for this is the Mopar lift, then Customer Care will work to reimburse. If the fix is something other than the Mopar lift (e.g. stiffer regular height springs & shocks, or enhanced bumps), then you probably wont get reimbursed. Customer Care has not gotten info yet on what the parts are for the fix.

I'm looking at mid-February most likely. We've been working on it for a long time. I have what I think is our final revision in house, probably get installed and start final testing next week. 90 day lead time from our spring manufacturer puts us right about mid-February.

@Rock Krawler Suspension just checking back in to see if there have been any updates, if your testing went well, etc.? Are you able to comment on the capacity of the lift springs? Will they be beefed up at all to support steel bumper/skids and a winch?

I didnt see @JeepCares say its for everyone not just rubicons. Nor have I seen any update to show that there will be a fix.

Look at the cost of the gasser and that should pretty much give you an answer.

So, around $230 for front coils only.

I personally do not think 1.5” will solve it.
I couldn’t imagine being less than 2” of lift. The mopar springs are a higher spring rate. Most of the lift comes from the higher rate.
Any spring solution needs to have a higher rate than stock diesel springs and really needs to provide at least 2”

It doesn't need a lift. If it sits at the correct height and the spring rates are correct along with correct compression damping on the shocks, it should take a bump exactly like a stock gas truck.

A lift is a band aid. Of course if it gives you an excuse to buy and install a lift, great. But its not necessary if the spring rates and compression damping rates are correct.

But like you said, it definitelyneeds a spring with a higher rate.

2021 Diesel Gladiator Rubicon with ZERO modifications: Suspension has bottomed out terribly on normal road conditions since the day I got it. It is going back to the dealership with 6K on the clock. Not sure they will come up with anything, but it sucks.

Just a waiting game now. I got a message from Jeep Cares saying that Mopar is working on a solution and should release a TSB by Q1 2022
