Ugg. Going through the same dilemma with my new to me Rubicon. Has the stubby bumper and I have a rough country 2.5" suspension lift/leveling kit laying around.
Have 17x9 wheels on order.

Not looking to do much else for modifications. I like the look of 37's but concerned about wear and tear on the veh.

Still looking
I am with Brandon. If it spends more time on the pavement I would stick with 35's.
I recently bought Patagonia MT 35x12.50r17 on Black Rhino Armory 17x9 wheels. I struggled with the 33, 35 or 37's decision.

FWIW: The Patagonias fit my Overland very nicely with no lift or trimming needed for road driving. To be fair... Some of our roads call for 4WD. I have not pushed it offroad to check for interference yet. I won't be surprised if I find the need for a small lift to accommodate full suspension travel.

go with 37's cause you will regret it down the line and sell your brand new 35's like 2 months later, simple as that man
This 100%... Someone scored 35" BFG's from me for 800 bucks for all 5 with less then 2k miles from me for this very reason.

Did you do any modifications to go to 37? I'm all for 37's, but don't want to go down the rabbit hole of having to make a bunch of adjustments to make them work properly. If I can slap them on with a minor lift and not have to worry about changing gearing etc.. I'd be all in.

37s on Max Tow here. Took a hit on mpg going from 35s to 37s (18 mpg to 16) but no other change. Def recommend a lift even a minor one (such as the level kits) if you have the Sport. No issues so far on 37s and put about 2k miles a month. My driving includes short city trips and also 5+ hour hauls.

I did think the 35s would do it for me but then 37s landed on my lap for a great price and went that route. Have probably already put 8k+ miles on the 37 setup with no issue. Havent recalibrated for the tire size but thats next on my to-do list. After that it will be time for a lift for me.

I fought this battle on my '18 JLUR. Closed my eyes and hit the purchase button when I ordered the 37's and never looked back.

I drove them for 2.5 years with zero problems or upgrades (re-gear, etc.) needed until I traded for my '20 JTR. No question I was going with 37's on it when I ordered my wheels and tires.
