Also would not surprise me if someone ‘needed’ a fender and appropriated one.

It's designed that way to help maneuvering on the highway at higher speeds. Air flowing through the passenger side helps maintain lane control and counters a left pull (wander). Of course I could be a little off.....

Or, they ran out of sport fenders (supply chains you know) and had the use the Rubi fender that was laying around. Makes you wonder if there's another Gladiator running around with the exact opposite fender set up?

My Jeep looked similar for a while. I swapped the passenger side to LED and decided it was too hot to do the driver side for like a month and a half.

The different fenders all together on this is crazy though.

The parts are delivered to the line in the correct sequence for the vehicle being assembled. If a blue one is on the line, a blue grill comes up, if it's a Rubicon, a Rubicon grill is next on the line to install, and so on. So one of the lines was out of sequence or someone messed up getting things in order.

I saw a car that was being repaired after being hit on one side. The body shop used the left side to restore the lines on the right side, and put the trim holes in the correct place and so on. When they ordered the trim they finally found out that the holes didn't line up because the trim had been incorrect on one side. It had trim for a level up on one side compared to the other. It went undiscovered for years. You never saw both sides at once and the difference were subtle - until it came to install it.

The weird part of that is that all of those parts are coded and scanned to try to keep the chain in sync (resisting boy band jokes). Definitely off key on that one … (failed).

This did not happen at the factory.
This Jeep was most likely damaged in transport and the bodyshop doing the repairs messed up.

Yeah, true - there's a bar code on everything.

Heck, even Pickle has a bar code.

Even the fitment on the correct drivers side looks like crap. There is another thread on the Wrangler side of someone getting a 2024 base sport with active cruise control camera installed in the windshield pod and the heater grid wiring hanging loose because the base sport windshield does not have that. Of course there is no other integration for the guy to actually have a freebie active cruise control.

I remember walking on a Chevy lot in 1990 to look at the some W/T work truck model regular cabs they had. There was 10 of them with all the interiors were high end plush GMC ones with GMC badging on the inside instead of vinyl seats and flooring. They were selling them as is with no discounting.
