A buddy caught his leg on my trailer hitch.

Rubbing his shin, I commented I wanted to get a cover that would make it more obvious.

Thinking red or yellow.

He said .................. "I saw the perfect one for you."

Today .................

I'm such an olde Man kid, I love it.

Now to figger a way to install it, that it won't get pilfered.

I just take the hitch out when I'm not using it.

But then how do people know you tow stuff? You gotta broadcast that somehow (apparently).
Just like every Ram / Ford / GM 2500 /3500 owner keeps their tow mirrors in the outward position no matter if they're towing or not

Thought your buddy was going to get you a dildo to stick over the ball. That's the picture I had in mind.

I keep my hitch in all the time. Not so I look cool or tough. It is so the idiots in parking lots and tail gaiting me (especially stopping at a traffic light) get what they deserve for not paying attention and tapping me. I have a very heavy duty hitch that my father in law welded for me. And trust me, it works. It has already damaged 3 different vehicles all while my truck was perfectly fine. All because people cant drive anymore.

I’m considering putting mine in for that very reason as well. LOL

Mine stays in as I do tow frequently but I also have one of those u-bolt looking things on it that keeps it tight so it doesn't rattle, so taking the hitch out requires loosening the clamp up each time with an 11/16" socket.

However, I am pretty aware they can annoying to folks walking about so I'm always pay attention and don't let it stick over a parking line or over a sidewalk.

My last truck, had a person who thought I don't stop at stop signs rear end me and run. Seeing the frost and transmission fluid on my hitch, I'd venture to say they got the worst of it, and why my hitch stays in.

I keep it on there all the time and refer to it as "the Stinger." I have a welded triple ball that lives on the hitch always.

On my old Taco someone attempting to parallel park actually whacked my hitch hard enough to puncture their radiator. While I was sitting in the truck. That was a funny conversation for me. Not so much for him.
