I disagree. The parameters of the fuel is given to the manufacturer of the pump. Bosch knew what was going to run through it. It's a design flaw. This being said, if FCA gave Bosch specific specs to manufacturer and the contract had a Hold Harmless protecting Bosch, it would be on FCA. Since the same pump is failing in other manufacturer's vehicles, I tend to believe it's Bosch.I
TS not Bosch, it's our shitty fuel
Yes. I received my first notice in October, I think.Does yours show on Mopar site.
Do we know that tho ? Maybe they were working under the impression of "diesel is diesel" and built it based on theirs.I disagree. The parameters of the fuel is given to the manufacturer of the pump. Bosch is in the land of where there are ton's of diesel motors. Years ago I had a VW Golf with a TDI motor and did a ton of reading up. The fuel they have over there has much higher Cetane #'s...better fuel than the dirty fuel we had over here in the late 90's and early 00's. The US is the Superbowl of vehicles. I'd venture to say Bosch does much more business here than in Europe...by far. It's an extremely high-tech company. Many vehicles include their computers, different electronics etc. I have no doubt their R&D knows what's going through their pumps no matter what continent they are located in.Do we know that tho ? The dealer I bought mine at last month still has one diesel left on their website as of this post. Maybe they forgot to remove it ?Does this mean that due to the most recent recall info that went out today the dealers can't sell those vehicles? Will they ever be allowed to sell them or is it that just can't get a diesel gladiator any longer?

I traded in a manual Rubicon which I thought they wouldn't take but I didn't disclose the clutch recall. That's on them. They posted it for one day and then removed it.
I got the recall notice first on the app. Then Uconnect updated a day later.![]()
Funny how my UConnect had a software update today, then 20 minutes later I got the recall notification.

You're right, but I'm not a lawyer and don't want to spend money on one.Why is there not a lawsuit in works about this? It's obvious Jeep is not in a hurry to get this resolved and the fact they waited to add additional years even though it's all the same parts shows they are just working the system to be able to keep selling these defective units.
Not coming down on you or defending one side or the other, but I feel it would benefit your blood pressure to take a breath and realize being suit happy is not always the answer. First of all, who says Jeep did this? If it’s Bosch, my thought is they’re ramping up on electronic and possibly fuel delivery systems due to what may be coming down the pike in Europe. Additionally, if they’ve had to re-engineer a part as important as a fuel pump, there’s probably many logistical items that they have to deal with, along with supply, and demand issues in that area of the world. don’t forget you can step off the curb and get hit by a bus tomorrow and it won’t make a difference. It’s not like this is a widespread issue by the percentages. Why is there not a lawsuit in works about this?
