That's the million-dollar question - Do they even HAVE a "good" pump yet to put in these things?I wonder if they will build my diesel JT with a good or recalled fuel pump?

Have'nt heard anything yet..... Mine has been in storage at the Toledo plant since 19 Apr....JS status...built but not born.... Dealer says they wont ship it until updated pump is installed. Of course no date for that yet either. Hurry up and wait. That's the million-dollar question - Do they even HAVE a "good" pump yet to put in these things?
Easy on the mods? I’ve already added wheels, bigger tires, bumper and winch. Are you saying that I’ll have to remove all of that? I don’t even have the stock wheels, tires or bumper any longer. Is that going to void my warranty?Ok, so to sum things up...
That about do it?
- Add 1-2 oz of EDA (your choice) with each full-up.
- Don't mess with anything under the hood and wait for the recall... roughly August.
- Easy on the MOD's until post-recall.
- Make sure my AAA membership (100 mi towing) is up to date.
I don’t even have my stock bumper any longer or my stock wheels and tires. Do you think this would void the warranty?Well, not knowing what kind of mods you're talking about makes this more difficult. If there the plugin power modifying type, I'd remove them until the warrantee work is done. Why? If it happens away from home and it's towed to the dealer your screwed. If it's a winch or bolt on, I plan on removing mine, assuming it doesn't happen away somewhere...if it happens away somewhere. I don't know if they would, but I don't want to come in and get a supprise bill for them having to remove something that's not factory. ...though ultimately it should be their issue and they can pass the bill to Bosch. On the other hand, they may not reinstall with the attention to detail I apply.
With regard to how are they going to know? I think they're replacing all of them. It's not a question as to if...more than when it's going to go. I figure like I said before, if they can check injector flow, they will be able to see if something is impleading flow. Otherwise, when they take the pump off, they may be able to see something that tells them it's in the process of letting go. It's all speculation until the repair procedure is released.
It’s possible that it’s built sitting in a lot waiting for a fuel pump or repair parts. I think it was a no-sale order that was issued until a remedy is ready. Somewhere else in this post they’ve stated that it’s due out in August 2023. Either way, they can’t deliver it to you until the remedy has been applied so it really doesn’t matter where it is. I realize that doesn’t help your situation, but it may relieve the pain reducing your urge to look out the window so to say.My dealership is either totally clueless, or lying out of their backside trying to cover up the fact that my JT diesel hasn't been built yet. When I stopped in the dealership on Saturday, the sales manager said "Oh, it's nothing, probably will only be a reflash of the computer system". HA! Yeah, right.
Understand, at this point, luckily, I’m not experiencing the same issues as you, but please remember your dealer has Zero power to address this now. Granted, you could get an off-the-shelf unit to get you by, which I would recommend if they’re offering, to alleviate some anxiety.I’ve been on the phone with 5 dealers TODAY in my Area about this pump issue just to get a slot to have it confirmed. My Jeep will not start after sitting for 8 or more hours without progressively more start cycles. Today was 4 to get it to run. Chrysler has no solution even close to distribution. I’m on filter number 4 at 49k( at 80$ a pop too!) Dealer told me to put a bottle of bg 245 through it after the filter change a week ago problem continues to get worse.
It shouldn’t surprise me that 5 weeks out on an appointment just to run Chryslers software as right to repair laws are booming is where it’s at. I’m super pissed that my $ 80k Jeep will likely be inoperable sooner than my appointment and no solution other than replace with the same units… those are available on the shelf, the lift pump and cp4. To top it off this afternoon corporate recall hung up on me after 25mins on hold and I still got the survey to rate them. Naturally all”1’s”.?Jeep needs to get their service up to speed or build better products, cuz 5 weeks at any front range dealer just to get in is absolute BS! I love my Jeep for what it does but the follow through with service is shit! Worse when it’s a known problem and I have “the problem”!!!!!
Venting complete..
Hello, ehhh just got a notice in the mail about this from jeep. Mine's officially on the recall.
Why did they wait till 2023 to tell me when its a part that's been recalled on previous models? This WILL be another class action lawsuit.
