And then the exterior paint corrosion

They’ll order a replacement top. They won’t try to repair it. Don’t worry. This is going to turn out fine. Be nice to the dealer. This isn’t their fault. You’ll want them in your corner if you ever have another problem.I just got back from the dealership. The Warranty person was very candid about the lack of quality of Stellantis' products and how they are struggling because of pricing. She mentioned that the Stellantis rep is coming there tomorrow and she will run it by them. One of the Service Reps said that they won't swap tops from another Gladiator on the lot. I just have to wait for the process to play out before making my next move. I will not accept repairing the top, only replacing. Thanks for letting me vent.
Older ones are better.I don't know why I am shocked considering the quality reputation of Stellantis products and dealers but I am. I am going to go to the end of the earth to make sure that I am made whole with this. I have two other vehicles that are Japanese and there were zero defects and have only required regular maintenance and wear items. One is 17 years old and one is almost 11.
His other threads are sale items from multiple Gladiators.Thats just how Pol Pot talks. You know, Pol Pot… the leader of the communist Khmer Rouge who was responsible for the Cambodian genocide of the late 70s. This has to be a troll account, who else would choose this username? Its like choosing H1tler as a username.

I don’t agree. Get it replaced.I hate to say it, but even if the dealer says they are going to replace the top, I'm not sure you are going to end up in a better situation. What are the chances of them removing your top and replacing it without any other collateral damage or leaking issues afterward? I'd just keep an eye on it and not do anything unless the crack gets bigger. But, that's just my advice.
I guess we'll find out, buy only if Jeep actually replaces the top under warranty. The OP may never make it to that step.I don’t agree. Get it replaced.
You’re kidding, right?I hate to say it, but even if the dealer says they are going to replace the top, I'm not sure you are going to end up in a better situation. My previous truck blew up with 10k miles on it. It was a Japanese hybrid that was supposed to be known for reliability. Gone are the days of high quality QA at this price point.Tell me which manufacturers haven't had issues.
Edit: Toyotas from that age range had a recall to replace the frames that were made of cheap steel and rusted to nothing. That's not as bad as a hard top crack?
Minor correction-- I had a 1G Tacoma with frame rot. It wasn't because it was cheap steel, thinner steel, etc -- it was because the mix of alloys used at the foundry to make the steel over-reacted to road salt. There's plenty of old Toyotas running in the Sunbelt. I wonder if an anode would have helped?Tell me which manufacturers haven't had issues.

yeah, I was emotional at first but after calming down today, I am just going to go through the steps that it will take to be replaced. I was very nice to everyone and they seemed understanding. It's not worth having a heart attack over.Yeah, sorry man but it’s not that serious. Frustrating? Yes. Scorched earth? Nah.
My wife is Japanese.Remember Pearl Harbor...
Unfortunately, the day before noticing the crack in the top, I discovered a dent in my hood from some road debris. I have to get a PDR repair..Or... when his windshield gets chipped or cracked. I'm on my 2nd windshield since Jan 2024 that needs replacement.
It’s a Jeep. I rarely even slow down for themI've hit many in my day without cracking the fiberglass hardtop.
