This came up when working through the final options when I made my purchase ... it basically stated that any lift made to the vehicle would not void warranty. I paid it ... I had no idea if it was a Jeep thing or a dealer thing (probably dealer) ... but given Jeeps history of avoiding/voiding warranty I'm glad I did and have it documented. To each there own ...
when I purchased the Mopar warranty,(bumper to bumper) the lift was an additional surcharge (separate warranty maybe ?) I believe around $500 for an 96/85,000.

To common that dealers lift jeeps? My dealership literally only sells them all completely stock. When I asked about the mopar lift they actually were surprised in the parts dept that it was even offered through mopar. They deffinatly are not about modifieing their vehicles.
It’s extremely common that they lift them. As in I e never seen a Jeep dealer that didn’t. Huge money maker. They make mall crawlers day and night and charge a kings random.

The tazer was sketchy at first. Now that i've used it some, its pretty legit. I could see some having issues with the interface of it for sure.

First off, my dealer is great. I order most of our work trucks through them. So when my wife and I wanted to replace our 2016 JKU we obviously went with my local dealer. We ordered the Gladiator on Feb 8th, and it came in this Monday, March 21st. I picked it up, and drove home. We took it on a short drive (70 miles) to dinner, got home, pulled it in, put it on the lift and disassembled it for the 3" j venture lift and 37's. When I dropped off the wheels and tires at the dealer the following morning to get mounted, everyone's jaws dropped. From the salesman to the techs, they are amazed I would "risk my factory warranty" to lift a brand new truck. It never ceases to amaze me how some will let the promise of possible warranty, affect how or why they do things.
For around $500 you can add mopar lift to warranty (including any damage caused by lift)

My JKUR was my wrench toy from day one. The mod list was long and $$$. Leather and everything inside, 4 inch OME springs, all Alpine arms, Adams front driveshaft, Rocksport shocks, Adj track bars front and rear, heavy bumpers and winch, Method rims and 315-70-17 BFG KO2's, ARB diff covers, Dana 4.56's, ProComp LED's, Yukon freespin hubs& axels, Fusion Alu TR & DL. JKS CA brackets. Odyssey battery. But I always wanted what the new JT had that I could never add to the JK. This JTR will stay factory suspension wist for quite a while. I might go to a different tire but the 285-75-17 falcons are just fine. My dealer warranty person has OK up to a 2 inch lift, Mopar. But I will be a while just learning all the stuff on this one. I guess I got all the modding out of my soul on the JK.

I looked at the Mopar lift, but to get to where I wanted, (37's without fender modification) it was going to be difficult. That, and JKS is far superior in build quality. the adjustable lca's give me the option for higher later if I want. Those are the factors that steered me away from the mopar 2"

The way it was explained to me was they won’t warranty aftermarket parts that they don’t install, otherwise your warranty is still valid. I haven’t went with an extended warranty since I installed a lift & replaced other parts with aftermarket items.

These dealers always amaze me.

I actually called my dealership recently and asked if they reprogram my ECU for 35" tires (I wanted to see if paying 300$ for Tazer was worth it). They responded that they did not do that as putting 35" tires could void my warranty.

Clowns.
I put on LT295 70 18 which is a 34” tire and my dealership wanted $250 to program the system.
I bought an ECRI for about $130 and did it myself!
