Wow that’s actually pretty impressive, did you notice any difference with the oil temperature?8-12* on the same grade according to the dashboard

Not an appreciable amount 2-3* which would be just a variation but pushing it hard up a grade gettting it to 250 had water temp at 222 which for some reason seems like a really common reading under high load. I think the only way to pull more temp especially considering the skid I have would be to do a bypass oil filter which another couple quarts capacity and if thats not enough, a cooler into the loop but it would have to be underneath so hard to say how effective it eould beWow that’s actually pretty impressive, did you notice any difference with the oil temperature?
That's good to know. Since I do a lot of towing, I've been running Amsoil Dominator Boost in my 2015 and 2020 Ram EcoDiesel. I've been thinking about switching to Amsoil Coolant since it already has the Dominator Boot additives in the formula.the biggest water temp change I’ve observed is by flushing the system and moving to yellow zerex + a bottle of hypercool
Extra oil capacity makes a noticeable difference in oil temps. The oil has more time to rest and cool before it's cycled back through the engine.I think the only way to pull more temp especially considering the skid I have would be to do a bypass oil filter which another couple quarts capacity and if thats not enough, a cooler into the loop but it would have to be underneath so hard to say how effective it eould be
Oh for sure I understand that part just not sure an underbed cooler will do any extra. I pull 8/10* from my trans temps going to the deeper PPE pan. On flat ground at 70 I rarely see 200* now and downhills it’ll go to 188-190. its gotta a skid under it as well. Highest ive seen after running dunes over and over was 218. I don’t tow and its got Amsoil OE Fuel Efficient in itExtra oil capacity makes a noticeable difference in oil temps. The oil has more time to rest and cool before it's cycled back through the engine.
I notice something as well with the Zerex HD Diesel Extended Performance then adding the that Amsoil water wetter. The Redline oil is not compatible unless the one called Diesel is used from them. Went with Amsoil due to the faster warm up it gives.the biggest water temp change I’ve observed is by flushing the system and moving to yellow zerex + a bottle of hypercool
There was a little discussion on differently enabled Eco at FB. William said the Amsoil is not as good in long term alkalinity as well as heat transfer compared to the Zerex HD Diesel EP. This is so far the best on the market. That's good to know. Since I do a lot of towing, I've been running Amsoil Dominator Boost in my 2015 and 2020 Ram EcoDiesel. I was draining and filling using Mopar coolant. I've taken coolant samples at each interval and sent them off for an analysis. Eventually, the drain valve broke internally on my 2015. I reached out to two mechanics, and both told me that the factory petcock is mostly a one-time use item. It's not that they can't be used more than once, but they are fragile in nature and prone to leak if used very often. For that reason, I'm a little gun-shy about Using the factory drain valves. From this point forward, I think I'll pull the bottom radiator hose and drain the system that way.

I got it off the shelf at walmartgood ol' night shift. Just managed to read this entire thread in one go.
Im not overly concerned with overheating as im in the PNW but increasing effieciency and reliablity are paramount with these engines IMO. especially with how fast they seem to ruin coolant.
sure has a guy wishing for a deeper sump oil pan from Banks, wouldn't that be awesome!
Where have you managed to find this coolant in stock? I've called a few places but it seems to be a unicorn so far....

William thinks the Zerex HD yellow is looking promising because it's holding pH at 15,000 miles, but it's still in the testing phase. Amsoil makes three different coolants. He was interested in the Amsoil HD coolant (product code: ANTHD1G-EA). He thought it was an OAT coolant, but I just sent him a message letting him know that it's an HOAT coolant. There was a little discussion on differently enabled Eco at FB. Hey Mr Sweetums,
The problem with making these is volume.
The interesting thing about this group is that we will spend years compiling thousands of posts about this issue but every time I actually have some of these available it takes forever for someone to actually commit to taking one off my hands.
Of course once they are gone the group starts to ask for one again…
I can kinda see why BPD diluted their efforts because it is so difficult to actually make an offering viable for such a small group.
Only thing motivating me to do so is that I’m an enthusiast and am acting on selfish motives.
Happy to share the 3d file with anyone who wants to go down the rabbit hole solo — just message me.
These cad files are all in 3d, you’d need to work with a fabricator that has the ability to unroll the model into a 2d drawing according to their needs and capabilities.
