lol 75 isn’t fast. My gladiator handles fine. I do 80+ regularly. Does it handle like my Audis and BMWs? No, but it’s completely fine and very stable and you need to go that fast to keep up with Atlanta traffic.

I'm not saying I can't do 100+ with one finger on the wheel, but it takes Hp to overcome that kinda wind drag driving a brick down the road.

I pretty much only drive 75 while unloaded and in a hurry.

I’d be surprised if a diesel couldn’t do 110 effortlessly. Even my 3.6l with 3.73 gears and 33.7” tires will do 110 pretty easily.

I've done over 100 w/37s on a dry lakebed and my wife made me shut it down before topping it out.

75mph isn't cruising in my opinion either.....that bordering on hauling ass?
This reminds me of apples “you’re holding it wrong” excuse for the iPhone 4 antenna position problem.

Mine is limited to 95 mph. Even says so on the window sticker. How did you get to 100? The only way I can figure is that you did not adjust for the 37's.

I have a gas High Altitude with street tires. The build sheet says it's rated for 110mph. I've had it up to 100 passing traffic on rural two lane highways.

Mine hits 95 and stops pulling.

That makes a lot of sense and sounds like fun. lol. Did yours originally come with all season tires? Mine did so it’s governed at 110 vs lower for the other tire options. My JKU Rubicon was governed at 90 before I took that crap off. I’d literally accidentally hit the 90 mph governor when trying to keep up with traffic on GA400. Aka the GA Autobahn. That one handled like complete trash, even bone stock, compared with my JT and I probably shouldn’t have driven it that fast.

I could be mistaken by the way the speedo reads at a glance from that angle through the steering wheel and maybe I wasn't doing 100+ maybe it was only 95 getting ready to chop the throttle?

My Rubi was ordered with the M/T Falkens.

I know mine has more rpm and oomph available but have not ventured far past 90. Just because it can go that fast doesn't mean I need to check it out. I am more sane now than i was when i was younger .

Unless you live in one of those places where speed free autobahn(Germany was great when i was stationed there....be doing 135 and still have to pull over for some AMG to blow past you doing 150+) zones are available (parts of Texas with the 85mph speed limit areas come to mind...which means traffic is going like 10 over 85 there).

Pretty sure the speed limiter is set by the factory(in the ECU) based on the speed rating of the factory tires for that option set/model.

Solutions
a. With a defeat device: Which means if you get better rated tires then you can probably set it to the new limit (obviously at or under the tire speed limit). I have seen something advertised for the 392 wrangler crowd.
b. Change the tire size to the minimum size and just use GPS to determine your real speed.....(lol YMMV ;) so if you have tires size set to 30 then put 37s on then you are getting that much more distance for each revolution .

I look at the navigation speed indicator most of the time thru android auto and just keep up my fuel mileage screen since most of the time I am just flowing with traffic. HOV lanes are usually 78-85 or so unless you have a fast crowd.
