I'm not feeling the love for it.
Yea I'm curious about the thermals in this. I can get over the ugliness if it's functional.

I have 2 aluminum louvers in thinking of mounting them square where the hood bumps/washers are and buying the Mopar washer kit. I just worry about water/rain getting on top of the motor and electronics there. Not sure how risky that is.

If you are going to do it. Mount in the center of the hood. Directly behind the radiator. You don't want to be too close to the windshield,. The base of the windshield is a high pressure area. That will stall the flow coming out. If the stock Rubi vents were father forward. I think they would flow better.

I though we pretty much established venting the hood wasn't going to do anything to reduce coolant or oil temps?

True. But if he wants to try. That is where I would put them.

Maybe I'm the crazy one ? I did see that someone on wrangler side mentioned they saw no differences in their testing. I find it hard to believe that some more ventilation and volume(removing foam and cover) wouldn't help.

Yep. Have the first couple of slots over the radiator. When I installed the vents on my Nismo. My temps came down. But the JT is a different beast.

From my race car days it was always about creating negative pressure under the engine bay rather than cramming more air into the engine bay.

Yeah, you want negative under the car so that it sticks to the track. Here, we want to get the hot air moving out under the hood.

Someone on this board also offered some uncontrolled evidence that bumper, grille and some hood modifications weren't terribly effective for decreasing temps. Hard for me to imagine also.
