Never put any magic snake sauce in my tank ever.

None, ever.

Gentle use and sketchy maintenance are my secrets.

I too believe that driving it like it stole your lunch money is often the best medicine. For both you and the truck.

Genuinely, it's the stand out thing about my truck.

It doesn't get driven twelve miles a day through the city. The hitch and bed see regular use.

It runs 100-150 miles a day minimum, is often overloaded, always gets up to temp, always sees some load, never lugs around empty.

It's days are surely numbered, but at this mileage, it can let loose any time and I won't be mad.

Received my shipment. Mixing 2oz of XL to 1oz of the summer. Will see how the jar set up goes.

So three oz per tankful? I was thinking 4 of just the XPD.

I really don’t need the anti gel additive living in Arizona that comes in the XPD, I’m simply looking for the lubrication and a little cetane boost can’t hurt so got the summer blend to add 1oz of that to the 2oz of XL. Going this route will be much cheaper and get better lubricity. If I go somewhere below freezing I’ll definitely get a small bottle of the XPD but don’t see the cost benefit running that every tank.

the XPD improved the HFRR score to approximately 380 where a single dose (2oz) of the XL alone had a HFRR score of 370 or a double dose brought it down to a HFRR score of 240

Surprised that no one pot this yet. Those of you that bought the XPD may have wasted your money.

That’s not the conclusion I came to … it seems XPD is best at wear by a long shot, close second for cetane and only “negative” is that is has potassium which in some remote corner case may inhibit the early detection of a coolant leak if you happen to regularly test your oil.

I’m gonna use my last bottle of Hotshots EDT and buy a few baby bottles of Optilube XPD.

He's using the Diesel Kleene in his diesel.

Yeah, I 'm failing to see how anyone who bought XPD wasted their money.

I also hate how I need to speed up any of his videos by 1.2% because he talks so slowly with gaps...

With over a million miles on my highway diesels and countess hours on the farm diesels, I can say that I have never used a fuel additive with the exception of an antigel. I have never had a fuel pump or injector issue, even with the CP4 pump. I can't see much of a benefit from my standpoint. Maybe fuel economy? Snake oil ? Just use quality fuel and no more than 20/80 bio. Use a quality fuel filter.

Has anyone noticed a difference between EDT and XPD?

… no

I been using EDT for years and just started XDP … I can’t tell a difference. But data shows it’s a superior lubricant … I’ll keep using it. Plus I like the little 4oz bottles

I just switched, ~ 1 mpg difference in my commute , no noticable noise difference. I do like the Amazon kit that comes with the pump and small bottles.
