Anyone in Canada have the Y81 programming done recently? Curious what ECU version number is showing on the service invoice, Jscan or carscanner? I have a 2021 Gladiator Rubicon diesel and it's on 68353396AG, dealer says no recalls noted for my vin.

Just checked my '22 (Early March build date) JTRD and it's showing:
685410499AD on ECU1
68488239AE on ECU2
Does this mean they have FW that is even higher than what is being applied with the recall?

Dealer told me to do the recall they needed 3 hours. Paperwork I got in mail said 30 minutes. Anyone want to chime in on this?

Mine appears to uses more def after the update. It used to be 1500 miles per 1.25 gal of def. But now after the 2100 miles road trip, it's used little over 2 gal. That's 1,050 miles per 1 gallon.

You may want to look into the oil the dealer is using. At my first oil change they told me Shell that’s not approved. We had a big sit down and they had to go pick up the correct oil.
Are you talking about this Shell that states it’s MS-12991 compliant? This is what the manual says to use.

Mpg hasn't changed. But i do noticed lower mpg when used B20.
Yes I live in MN and use Bio as well and I do think that lowers the mpg as well. After my update it improve milage by at least a couple mpg though. Not sure about the dep consumption yet but before the update it was for sure fairly high.

Had my DEF recall done on 4-11-22 and it took about 40 minutes. I haven't driven it enough to know what changes in mpg or DEF usage will be.

I’m not from Canada but recently had mine updated and it’s the same version now that you currently have.

My def usage went up.

Then again, it’s been hot, beds been LOADED, and I’ve been running on the highway at “fhe speed limit”. (Perhaps a wee bit over. I’ve heard the diesel will stay in 8th even at 90.)

Anyone have the Y81 recall show up on your service orders as pending then all of a sudden it disappear? My service department can't explain why it happened.

Showed up on service record on Jan 31st, was listed on a couple in Feb, then on the Feb 23rd service record it disappeared. Originally they said that the fix was pending when it first showed up on the service records. It's back In the shop now and service dept says it's not showing as outstanding or even listed for my vehicle.

Called FCA Canada as service dept said that might give some info as to why it disappeared but FCA Canada doesn't show any record of my 2021 Gladiator Rubicon Diesel ever being part of the Y81 recall.

Basically no one has a clue why it was flagged for it and now it's not. Recall was never done by the service department.

Just had my 3rd of 3 N/C oil changes done along with Fuel filter R&R.
They also did the recall download. total time at dealer was 1.5 hrs.
The fuel filter including labor $165. I think next time I'll do it myself along
with the oil changes. By the time I drive to a dealer and wait for the service I'll
spend 2-2.5 hrs. I can do it a lot faster and cheaper myself.
