I live in chilly Phoenix, AZ. So it is often self-disabled. When it runs, it makes no difference, because it fires up before the AC becomes ineffective. Totally a non issue.
I live in AZ too

When it shuts down the AC stops working and the Jeep gets hot. Pretty much instantly.

The "mild hybrid" version in my Ram did the same thing

It's unacceptable for 5 months of the year

App is transient and can only toggle existing settings. Can only change a 1 to a 0 or a 0 to a 1 if the choice exists.
99.999% chance an app like Jscan will never do it.

Software can't reprogram the PCM, only make choices.

On the other hand, it appears AlfaOBD MAY be able to disable the auto park.......

Check into this timer circuit instead -

I see start stop like the 1st-4th skip shift feature implemented in manual 4th gen Camaros and Firebirds. Looks good on paper, but creates issues and complication for the end user.

People; Get a TAZER. The ESS system will automatically stop functioning and that hood button then turns into a hood alarm. It also gives you the option of many other features, too many to list on this post.

What complication? Oh, you mean ANGER because they can't control something and something is controlling their engine.
It's never been a complication for me or my wife.

No need to worry about ESS with manual transmission :)
The manual transmission still has ess. As soon as you take your foot off the clutch at a stop, it'll shut off. If you keep the clutch pressed at a stop, it won't enable, but if you take your foot off, it shuts off.

Once again this topic is filled with people who don't know what they're talking about, general misinformation, and intentional ignorance. Can't help those who refuse to understand.

You said ANGER, not me. No need to get emotional about it, or make general assumptions about other people.

I'm just stating that it has been a complication and/or annoyance for many who pulled the fuse controlling it, because their manual transmission wasn't going in the gear they tried to manually shift into, because someone else thought that having fewer gears improves your fuel economy.

Some parallels to to auto stop start, is my point. At least sometimes, the KISS theory does still apply in life. Jeeps as a whole compared to other cars are great evidence of that.

I'll leave it at that before the thread goes off the rails.
