Got the HPFP recall done, immediately sent the PCM out to GDE.

Don't see actual comparisons too often, so here you go. Nothing scientific. Similar OAT and same flat stretch of road.

37s, stock 3.73s. Carrying a half rack, RTT, winch, full size spare. ~4" lift. AEV snorkel with AFE intake tube. 6140 lbs weighed.

Videos in order:
Stock PCM with off idle pull in 2wd.
GDE tuned PCM with off idle pull in 2wd.
GDE tuned PCM brake boosted launch in 4wd.

Hm. I've tested them on Firefox and Chrome on two different PCs and an Android phone and they all play for me so I'm not sure what to change. Just formatted and uploaded them as run-of-the-mill mp4 files.

I'll work on getting them uploaded to youtube so I can just embed them from there.

Videos loading fine here.
Looks like the best is 0-60 in 7 seconds?
Yeah somewhere between 6.5 and 7. Not a great video to go off of if you're trying to get an exact time, the truck starts pushing through the brakes right before I let go. But it feels pretty swift. What's crazy is without any sort of launch, the GDE tune gets to 85 something like 4.5 seconds faster.

Car and driver clocked the stock EcoDiesel at 7.3 to 60. Keep in mind published 0-60 times usually allow for a one foot rollout as well. I'm looking forward to throwing some 4.56s in.

I might still hook up my HPTuner and properly mount a gopro for a more professional run with telemetry as well but thought I'd throw this up.

Same videos as above, but hosted to youtube for anybody that can't get them to play:

Looks like that took something around 1.5 - 2 seconds off your 0-60 under similar conditions. That's pretty impressive. That's one of the next items on my list. Please let us know how your fuel economy works out - I've read a few claims of around a 2mpg improvement. Pretty cool if you can get better performance, reduce regens, and get improved fuel economy. Win-win-win.

Please let us know if the "distance between regens" changes.

I want this tune so bad! Did you just say screw it with the engine warranty backed by Stellantis or did you end up getting a cloned ECU for shop visits?

Just my input, my dsr with the rivised has been 800-1200 last two cycles. It's pretty good.

Drove 1500 miles over the last couple days. Loaded for camping, cooler, wood, water, etc. Heavy. Didn't hand-calculate anything but got truck-reported 22 mpg driving for a couple hours across the rolling hills of southern Missouri, 60-65 mph. 20.8 mpg with the cruise set for 70 mph all the way back to Minnesota. With the way my truck is outfitted I used to get closer to 18-19 mpg, so that lends credence to GDE's claimed 10-15% mileage improvements. 37s at 34 psi hot, btw. I was hoping after tune and gears 22 mpg might be possible on the highway in current form. Well I don't have the gears yet, so it might be close.

All EPA equipment is still intact and working.

Didn't notice any regens happening but on the highway the DPF SL dropped to 11% on it's own with regen inactive. Is time between regens a reported metric? I've never looked.

I did not get a clone of my original PCM. Now I'm seeing the concerns over fuel dilution and increased aluminum in the oil with the GDE tune so hopefully I won't regret that. I do send all my oil off for analysis, so if something changes I'll see it.

We have had this tune for well over a year now. Benefits, better mileage, pulls like a freight train.

Downfalls: increased crankcase pressure sensor warning, they need to have multiple transmission options with better throttle response to really wake it up. IE one really need some type if throttle device to make it work at its best.

Is it worth it? Simply yes, but need to be aware of the downfalls. Its emission compliance your looking for then yes go for it. I dont think youll go wrong. We pull better with our weight and in 37”now than we did stock. Adding a pedal tuner will negate true emissions compliance. But options man 24mpg on eco wirh my weight yes. We keep pedal commander on sport 2 and seems the perfect mix in road and offroad driving. At altitude we have gobs more power than any gas motor and gobs more toque for offroad driving. We have near 500ft/lbs torque here with this tune per our obd measurements.

Our future: we will end up selling this tune if we can. We have a need to be able to run any diesel we out into the system. IE central and south america, world wide. Delete of def is a concern for us due to where we want to go. Having more reliability from a stage 2 due to deletes it makes are a huge plus. Being emissions compliant isnt a major concern for us. Getting rid if the pedal
Commander is a huge plus for us as it can add its own issues. The addition of different transmission/throttle tune options with stage 2 tunes are a huge benefit. Also the improvement of 50ft/lbs of torque will be a huge plus in the end. Our first stage of action though will be upgrading our gearing from stock to 4:56. I think this will wake us up where we want to be 100%. But again defeats some of the compliance of the tune in reality. Stage 2 will be EOC will be adding AEV snorkel over Hauk and downpipes plus full Exhaust.
