To each their own.

I wonder what state laws are for modifications like that.

I know front ends are designed to lessen impact to pedestrians now, even mandatory hood height.

A "Grumper" might be handy if you have any protestors blocking the roadway.

Thanks, had never heard the term "Grumper" before.

Those grill make me think of a ......................

When my sister came over in her Jeep and I saw that, I had an overwhelming urge to hurl too. I think this bumber/ grill would look better on a lifted jeep with oversized tires like th OP's

So I’m trying to decide on whether or not to do a grumper or just a grille bumper separate. Anyone have pros and cons
Pros:
  • Style Preference, unique look
  • weight savings?
  • able to add accessories/lights more easily

Cons:
  • Style preference, not many fans of the aesthetic
  • winch access
  • possible airflow issue/overheating?
  • headlight access
  • offroad/rock chip damage?
As mentioned, it is your vehicle, if you like the look, go for it.

There are generally two camps on this board (its not black and white, lots of gray area):
- the 'Custom Crowd' change all aspects possible to customize a vehicle unique to the owner
- the 'Minimalists' make changes as needed to address a specific problem

I wonder how much it weighs!

No thanks. One fender bender or tree rub and your totalled. Also I think your tire will rub like crazy when full flexed out and wheel turned any direction.

Pro's- helping the economy by making a purchase especially if it's made in the US.

Cons- looks tacky to most people unless you just got out of high school.

You do you. Personally, the grumper is the ugliest thing I ever saw.

It's you Jeep. If that is the style you like, then do it.

As far as pro's and con's.

Pro's
Unique styling
Some protection from limbs on the trail
Ease of adding accessories

Con's
Hard to access winch
Hard to access headlights
Limits visibility
Adds to accident damage
Disrupts cooling
