I was cringing as I heard power sanders being taken to my brand new JT Overland. I bought it off the lot and it came without the factory bed liner due to the delays. This is the first white vehicle I've owned and I don't think I could stand the sight of the scratched up bed in a few years. So I opted for Line-X.I don't think I could do this to my new Jeep. The sight of them sanding the bed of my new Jeep would make me cringe LOL. I think adding this liner might cause more problems with rust not that I have any evidence but I feel like that is a good possibility, when you sand and spray and if someone doesn't do a good job and a little bit in a corner is not stuck well...
Anyways, GL to the folks who do this but this one is def not for me, more so because I am not going to be using this truck as a work truck
I have to say, I am pretty impressed with how well it lays down and preserves all the original contours in the bed. Looks great and makes me a bit more comfortable using my truck for moving junk (pretty much what I bought it for...)
Not sure if I have any before pictures but here's an after.
It was $450 + tax, so came out to around $20 less than factory. They masked off the lights and bed-mounted plug instead of removing them so there are some flappy edges left from the masking tape. Did not get the UV protection since my truck came with the tonneau cover -- won't be roasting in direct sunlight most of the time.
Overall I'm very happy with it. Scheduling an appointment with the same shop for rust-inhibiting spray application later this week.
