Might try just buying the front lift springs and see how it works out with the bottoming out issue. Already have the mopar lift lower control arms installed.

Called my dealer again this morning. Had all the parts ordered except the rear shocks about a week- 2 weeks ago. He said they hadn't shipped anything to them yet though. He checked into it again yesterday and now they changed the part numbers on both the front and rear shocks and still couldn't place an order for the rear ones. Said they are literally checking daily to get these ordered and corrected for me.

Disappointing that the fix for this is taking so long on Jeep's end. @JeepCares any chance you could look into this further and see what might be creating the issue on the parts for this? Maybe the items were just set up incorrectly in the system or something minor like that?

I'm getting pretty tired of having to watch even simple bumps so closely with a vehicle that is designed to conquer mountains. I know the fix is coming, just don't want to damage my frame while waiting for it!
@kilroy173 I assume you dropped the springs to install the Metalcloak bumps?

Installed some metal cloak bump stops and daystar 3/4 front spacer. Hopefully this takes some of the harshness out of the front end.

My rear end is high after I added the Rock Krawler rear spring bow correction wedges (running 4.5" EVO lift) so a wedge in the front or longer springs is probably the way to go in the front for me which I am hoping works well paired with the front Metal cloak bumps.

I was trying to decide if the bumps would fit in the front as they look so much bigger then the stock ones, but I guess they do as you got them in.

How are the front bumps, engaged them yet?

The metalcloack bump stops fit with no issues. You do have to remove the springs to install them. I installed them at the same time as I was adding a 3/4 spacer to the front. They do make contact with the axle a little more now because they're longer, but I wouldn't say its harsh. It also takes away the metal-on-metal contact I was feeling with the factory bump stops.

Took my new 2022 Gladiator eco to the lake on sunday. MAN it is ROUGH compared to the 2020 max tow. It clearly bottoms out sooner and has a softer suspension. I had to get my 2020 weighed for DMV registration and it was 4650lbs with a half tank.My 2022 Gladiator eco diesel weighs 5150 with 3/4 tank That 500lbs is almost completely under the hood/front.

It is felt MAJORLY. Any little whoop or bump caused it to bottom out. My 2020 felt great in rough terrain but this 2022 needs as much up travel as i can possibly get.

If you have a Rubicon, there is a tsb. If not, your screwed like the rest of us.

Wow, and this is on a '22, which FCA says is supposedly "Fixed".

This is the reason I stopped waiting for the TSB on the '21s, and decided the only fix is a lift. I don't think the TSB is going to make your '21 Rubicon EcoD drive like a Jeep. It will only make it safe on pavement, IMHO.

I installed the Clayton 2.5" diesel specific (great customer support, Fed Exed the front springs the day after they got them from their supplier so I could get them on for my Moab trip this weekend). This lift takes out some of the rake, so it gave me 4" lift on front, and 3" lift on back vs. Saggy Stock, Springs (SSS)
They are also prototyping a new front spring for the deisel, probably going to be marketed as a "leveling lift"... my guess it will end up giving about 1-1.5" lift vs. SSS.

No, it's prototype springs from Clayton for the bottoming issue that some JTRD are having.

Yup, thats pretty much what I'd expect. They will likely market this as a leveling lift.

@kilroy173 , I got probably the first 2.5" Clayton diesel specific springs. They Fed Exed them to me the day after they got them from their supplier. Compared to saggy '21 stock springs I got 4" lift in front, and 3" in back (I have a SmartCap on the back, but that was also on the stock springs). I am now mostly flat, very slight rake.

Noticeably stiffer, so I'm sure my old '21 stock shocks would be very under damped. I had Fox 2.5 Performance adjustable remote resi shocks put on with the lift. The high speed damping adjusts from 1-9 on them, and I have to run them at 6-7 on normal roads, and all the way to 9 when towing. They are good for now, but I may eventually have them tuned so I have a broader range of settings.

It's stiffer, but what I'd call race car suspension stiff, not 1-ton truck stiff. Its definitely not "plush ride" soft.

@Rusty PW , how is the damping with your stock springs on the prototype? Do you have a '22? I wonder if FCA put the newer shocks on the '22, or just the new bumps?

Well folks, unfortunately my time with the gladiator is over. After having it sit at dealer for six months.. I have gotten rid of it. (for now) I think I will probably buy another Gladiator down the road... it was a tough goodbye.

TSB parts still aren't available to my knowledge or the dealership btw..

Hope everyone gets sorted out!! and enjoys their rigs.

I don't have enough miles on the new springs yet to make an option on stock shock dampening.
