That’s probably why they’re selling. May have thought they found a loophole but it turned out that Cali still sucks. Now they’re trying to recover some lost funds.
Depends on where they live they could registered and drive it. Where I live in TX we don't even have an inspection. We used just have a safety inspection to check lights, horn, brakes, windshield wipers and blinkers but there was still a lot of fraud going on with that so the state did away with that starting in 2025 but we still have to pay the $7.50 fee but no inspections any more. Some parts have an emissions test but most do not.
