We leave in about 4 hours with this on a 6000 mile trip....last on the scale was 1584 but now its totally loaded. See what it comes in at. Got 14 mpg towing around town. Hopefully it stays close to that.

Home built camper? I've pondered doing a similar build in the past. Interested in more information if your willing.

Yes. Worked well. Will be for sale in about 5 days once I clean it up. Just got home from a 6000 miles trip around the US. Also have some info on real world towing stuff.

Just returned from Killington Jeep Jamboree. It is about 2 hrs each way. The gladiator pulled the TJ very well. That includes a pretty good climb and decent in the mountains of VT

We have Uwarrie in September and Greenbrier in October. Looking forward to getting back on the trails. Lot of pavement this summer...

2022 Yamaha Rmax 4 seat. Machine and trailer combined are 3000 lbs. I'm considering getting an enclosed trailer to haul it and at least 1 if not 2 dirt bikes at the same time. Currently with the open trailer I can still use my ramps and put the bikes in the bed but I don't enjoy it. On my Power Wagon I had a winch on the headache rack to pull bikes in and it was much easier.

Vintage Cruiser trailer-19mbs. 3200 lb dry weight- 420 tongue weight- 8-12 mpg towing at 60 mph- Jeep tows the trailer better than the Colorado truck we owned prior to the Jeep.

13 ft Sea-Doo Switch Sport. Trailer and boat are just under 3k. High Altitude with tow package and tire upgraded to 33 in BFG KO2 really helped with the slick ramps.

I pulled the trigger on the upgrade!

Keystone Bullet 250BHS
https://www.keystonerv.com/product/bullet/comfort-travel-trailers/floorplans/250BHS

7,604lbs dry
715lbs hitch weight

Pulls great, WAY better than I expected. I stay in 6th almost all the time. Down to 5th @ 3500rpm for most rolling hills. Im sure ill see 4th more with this camper but thats fine.

Dialed in the WDH and only raised 1/4in in the front.

Airbags were at their normal driving 5lbs. They may come in handy once its loaded. But dry its fine without them.

This is what I'll be towing to tracks. Still working out brake controller options and for sure getting an aluminum trailer to keep weights down. Lifted JTR has reduced (from 7000lb) capacity now but I do have the Trailer Pkg.

Ha! I expect it to be much worse than I got driving up here but not THAT much worse, sheesh.

I'll report what I get on the first tank so I'll know what to expect but I was hoping for 12-13mpg. At home with around town driving, a little freeway driving I get between high 15's and low 17's.
Not sure if I came back to this thread and reported this. I got 21.7mpg driving up to Seattle keeping it about 70mph. I got 11.8 on the return trip.

QUITE a drop and to me an example that the truck is fully capable of this hard work but I would not do it regularly. My old 2008 Chevy 3500 dually and my 2014 GMC 2500 Denali would have done it and likely had little to NO drop in mpg….because this is what they were made for.
