I second this!!!!!!!! I will take any shifter in any direction over a dial.
I had the rotary shifter in my Ram 2500. I got used to it after a little while and it was nice that there wasn’t an unnecessary stick taking up console space. If you think about it there’s no logical reason to have a stick on an automatic vehicle.

After I traded it in for the Gladiator there were a couple times the first week where I turned the Jeep on and then cranked the volume all the way up to shift it into drive. Makes you realize pretty quick that was the wrong dial!

In my Ram, initially I hated the dial. I don't mind it all now. It frees up a ton of space in the console area which is nicer than the mostly hand rest. I think the Jeep could use the interior storage space.
