Just leaving the dealer after trying to get one of my 3 free Oil Changes because they can't get their hands on a filter.

Where are you guys getting them?

Diesel Filters Online. Not sure if they’re in stock currently but they get them every few months. I ordered 4 fuel filters and 4 oil filters last time they had them. Best prices around too. No offense to Doc’s but at least for the time being I’m not messing with aftermarket filters… even though the Mopar ones are made in China.

Thanks to both of you. Im trying to get the Jeep all taken care of before an upcoming trip...I guess I was wrong to assume the dealer would have what I needed.

I went with the Mopar one as well, hopefully it can get here quickly. In the mean time, do any of you have experience with oil filters off of amazon?

Doc’s Diesel for oil and fuel. Switched about 30k miles ago. No issues.
Something off about the docs fuel filter I received, it didn't have the upper oring (frame side) like the factory Mopar one does. I got nervous and just parked it until Mopar came from Amazon. They were within 10$ for piece of mind. Maybe I was just sent the wrong one.

Actually, the site I ordered from has them in stock right now. Not sure what Amazon pricing is but these got here quickly for me. https://www.dieselfiltersonline.com...m-1500-jeep-wrangler-jl-with-3-0l-diesel.html

Unless you are dealing with a third party seller on Amazon that is actually a CDJR dealership, I would avoid Amazon on getting anything advertised as a genuine MOPAR filter

I bought one from a dealership, a couple from Diesel Filters Online, and a couple from Doc's Diesel to compare them earlier this year.

The dieselfiltersonline filters are definitely Mopar filters. I'll buy more from them in the future, especially at only $10 or so more than a Doc's. At least until the warranty is up.
Diesel Filters Online

The Doc's I mostly just wanted to see side by side and keep on hand as a backup in the event the Mopar filters become unobtainable again. It looks like they've started going through their catalog and getting filters independently tested. Once they've done that, I wouldn't have any qualms running their filters. I also have 2 friends that maintain fleets of diesel engines, one for an airport, and one for a construction company. They both have been running Doc's filters for years without issue. Of course, most of the engines they're maintaining aren't such delicate flowers.
