I just dropped my truck off at a shop (separate issue with the front suspension) and when the tech drove it away I noticed that three of the white reverse lights were on (driver's side and both bumper lights - all Oracle) while the truck was in drive. I never look at the back of the truck while I'm driving it, and now I'm wondering how long I've been driving along with bright-ass white lights shining in people's faces behind me. Any idea what could cause this @JP_Oracle ?

Do you have a Tazer? This is a by product of the tazer. If you unlock 3x with the key fob it will turn on the reverse lights, if you unlock 5x it will turn on reverse & bed lights.

I do have a Tazer - I wonder if the guy pushed the button a lot when he was walking to the truck. I drove it home tonight and my wife was driving behind me - she said she didn't see any problems, so that could be a good explanation. Thanks!

I've had the Oracle LEDs on my 2020 JTR for just over a year. Passenger side tail light flickers and some of the LED lights do not work. Is this fixable or are they just junk now?

With these lights it seems that one man’s junk is another man’s treasure… hmm, or maybe it’s the other way around.

fill out the warranty form. I got a replacement covered even though I was out of warranty.

don’t have the flush mount tail lights but do have Oracle rear bumper lights with plug and play harness. Work great but am having this same issue intermittently. Rear back up lights (including factory reverse tail lights) are staying on while driving. Only way to cancel it is stop the truck and use the key fob to lock and unlock to cancel it. Really frustrating.
I have full factory LED JT, Tazer, and only oracle bumpers reverse lights.

Thinking of hardwiring the bumper lights to aux switch only.

I would advise against purchasing these tail lights. They are definitely not plug and play if you have factory halogen tail lights. They suggest you tap into your factory wiring harness to get the reverse lights to work properly. This is fine if your factory warranty is out. If not then tapping into the wiring harness will void your electrical system warranty. They do not fit “flush” either. All in all I wouldn’t recommend this product. It also may be just my experience but the customer service has been horrible for me, I even left a bad review on the web site and they removed it so it wouldn’t drop the customer rating.

Just because you tap into the wires, doesn't mean it voids your warranty. If you have an issue and they pin point it to that wire tap, then yes but it doesn't automatically void your warranty. Also, the website clearly states that using a programmer may be required with the oem halogens unless you want to use resistors which most aftermarket LED light assemblies use.

From Oracle's website:
NOTE: Factory halogen equipped Jeeps may require a small resistor to be added if the reverse lights shut off after extended use. This can also be easily corrected with a programmer such as a J-scan or Tazer. If you do not have a programmer the resistors can be purchased

As for fitment, the metal pegs slide into the rubber holders on the jeep so you need to adjust as needed and tighten when you get them in the best position.

Mine fits perfectly and with a programmer (as stated),work as designed. I have the oem halogen lights. Oracle's customer service has been top notch for me. I contacted them for an issue with another product, they responded within 48 hours, asked for a video or pictures and resolved my issue within a week. Did you provide them with what they asked for?

I’m glad you had a better experience than I did. They are supposedly taking care of my return request but we will see if they follow through with making it right.
As for your question I provided them with everything they have asked for. As for fitment I did everything I could and more and they fit better but not flush. I will not be purchasing or using a programmer so that wasn’t an option they were supposed to be plug and play not extra parts then plug and play. Now onto the wiring, I spoke with my dealership, family member who is a master tech at a dealership and warranty representatives and was advised that if you cut, or tap into the wiring harness for the lights you would void the warranty on the wiring. It’s a brand new truck so not doing that. And regardless if they are telling the truth or not about the warranty makes no difference to me as they would be the ones dealing with a warranty claim.
So again, I’m glad you had an excellent experience with Oracle as I have not had any issues with them until now but doesn’t mean other people or everyone has or is having a great experience with them. Or just because my experiences have been good or bad doesn’t mean someone else’s experience has to be good or bad as well.
