You typically either need some type of programmer to swap to the LED setting on the Jeep, or use the resistors included with the lights.I received and installed my new taillights today.
2020 Gladiator, Rubicon, Halogen lighting. (no factory led package.)
I have Oracle Oculus led headlights that have been in for a year and they are great.
The taillights have a problem.
The reverse lights stopped working after just putting the truck in reverse 2 times.
These are $483 in my part of the world and a disappointment. I am not about to add another expense of a computer programmer to the mix.
I wish I had seen this thread.
First question: did you buy from Oracle, or a third-party? If a third-party, you may not have the newest revision of the lights.I received and installed my new taillights today.

I bought them from partsengine.ca.First question: did you buy from Oracle, or a third-party? If a third-party, you may not have the newest revision of the lights.
Second question: did you install the resistor?
Third question: have you tested putting the factory lights back on? If so, what are the results? This can help figure out if it's truly the lights or if there's something up on the truck side of things.
Fourth question: Have you reached out to Oracle at all? They're usually more than helpful and can get you squared away.

That is unfortunate but we can extend your warranty for you! Please fill out our online warranty request here: https://www.oraclelights.com/RMA and someone from our customer service department will be in contact with you shortly.I installed mine and loved them. Then last week 7 days after the warranty expired the left one completely died. Just my luck. Had to put the stock ones back on.
The cover of the box they come in reads, as a highlight, "compatible with base and led packages"For those commenting about using a programmer or that they don't want to shell out extra money to make this product work or any other LED product, you either need to use resistors or use a programmer. Those are the options because the truck monitors voltage through the BCM. You can order less expensive lights on amazon but they have the resistors built in and you may not notice they are there. I downloaded JSCAN which is free and one license which cost me about $20. then you have to purchase the security gateway cables and OBD module.
I personally don't like using resistors and I knew I would use a programmer for other reasons, like adjusting gear ratio and tire size so it wasn't a big deal for me to buy one.
Understand. I went off what their website said. I never looked at the box.The cover of the box they come in reads, as a highlight, "compatible with base and led packages"
The box does not say you need a jscan, tazer, resistors, etc.
Why on earth would one expect to buy or do anything extra for them to function?
I filled out their service help form. We'll see what they say. If they dont work without some song and dance then they will be rturned.
Did your JT originally have base or LED lights? Did you need to use a programmer like jscan/tazer?Honestly, I have had them on my JT for 2 years now. The passenger side started having issues, signal and break light wouldn't work unless the lights were on. Got a hold of their customer service dept, and within 2 weeks had a new taillight shipped. I installed it and the issue was resolved. For me, they have been great, and the customer service was on point IMHO. I would buy them again for sure.
