So far I’ve been okay on mine. Heading to 42k and second owner - first owner didn’t have a replacement from what I can see. I run Hot Shots EDT as well every fill up and ever 6 mo on the Diesel Extreme treatment.
My dealer told me they are only allowed to request 2 pumps every order max and over 40k need it replaced.
41k+ on my second one. Oil change tomorrow. I'll ask again!

How the hell did you get yours done that fast? I'm still waiting on the dealer to get to mine even into the recall stage of things. Granted it runs fine currently. But WTF really that was fast dude.
Yeah, i was kinda annoyed but happy that they got it turned around so quick. According to the service manager when i spoke with back in Oct. 2023, he said that I was first on the list to get the recall done. However, after speaking with the service rep and clerk when picking mine back up, they both said that they have done a couple already. So, obviously the list didn't really matter and never got a call saying that they have an opening to get mine done.

I was also kind of skeptical that they did everything right, just based on how fast they get it done and "just happend" to find a gasket within that 2 minute window when the service rep called.

But I bought a good supply of EDT and will start using that again religiously and cross my fingers that the newer internals on this pump are better.

The CP4 pump is used in the Ford Power Stroke, GM Duramax, BMW, VW, Cummins again, Nissan, plus a few other diesels I believe. And they all have issues too.

My understanding is that parts that are in short supply, they allocate and spread out so each parts territory zone gets a few and they assign priority with those zones.

I've used EDT regularly after the first pump for a while but towards the 2nd part of the year did fall off on using it everytime but still used it here and there. However, we shouldn't have to be relying on using additives to make sure that a fuel pump doesn't blow. Especially when we have spent as much for these diesels.
Well, every diesel I ever own (2 Ram pickups) I always used additives every single tank traded the first one off for the second one first 78000 second one 75000 both ran flawlessly. Don't knock the gasser now for one specific reason wheel spin . The secondary reason is weight. The Gasser pickups I always had climbed better than the diesels . I have watched alot of off roading videos and recently JTRD's they seem to get stuck more. Just my 2 cents.
I think if they replace the put I would use an additive every single tank forever. Regardless of redesign. It is by and large a must for newer high pressure pump diesels. Every single diesel out there has pump problems every one of them period.

I have spent a good while searching- I cannot find this ?

In for someone else who may have a documented answer.

Also, have not found anyone who has retrofitted a 2 micron cat/donaldson filter on any new ecodiesel yet either. (Someone has this- would be great to see ?)

Well, i was about to leave for a docs appointment before work and as i was pulling out of my neighborhood, my jeep died again. It started stuttering and making the same noise when the pump went out the 2 previous times. And then lost power and couldn't restart it. I requested a tow and while waiting, decided to see if it would start up, after a couple unsuccessful starts and letting it sit for about 10 minutes, it started up again and i was able to get back into my driveway. And now going to have it towed to the dealer that did the recall and the service manager said that they'll look at it once it gets in and check the fuel system again.

I've been using EDT on every fill up. The only thing i can think of right now, is that it was a little cold this morning, about 38 and maybe it didn't warm up enough before leaving, but it has been colder before and had no issues.

Man, as much as I wanted the diesel, I am so glad that I stuck with the minivan engine. Sorry you keep having that same issue. Thats gotta be frustrating.
