About …time! What a worthless pos.

I hope the new ceo will understand the American market and give its clients ( past and current) what they have been asking for…

The guy in charge of Jeep remains a Tavares henchman.

Stellantis has all these "Jeeps" planned for overseas markets that are not even going to be offered here. Meanwhile, the Jeep brand is languishing in its home market.

Sadly, I don't see any of this changing any time soon.

I hope you are wrong! Change has to start some place. I hear you though.

My impression is that there is a great deal of “woe unto me” mentality has crept into the mindset of your fine, admired and esteemed nation.

..from this global view point I don’t see it being justified. There is good and bad about in many places. On far greater scales.

Your home market for jeep is in much better shape than my home market for jeep.

it was utterly destroyed here by the recent ten years of fca/Stella management.

From great sharp profitable business w several best sellers to a marginal business w questionable basis for products to be imported.

Jeep is a wasteland here. Only bright spot is JL getting 2.0l non etorque turbo, a couple months back.
That move is a building business case for them. But absolutely nothing else is.

I hope this story makes all realise the brand hasn’t only taken a beating in its birthplace. And has been managed even more badly elsewhere in the world.

Mr Elkan, if u happen to ever see this post, Hurricane 3.0L turbo standard and HO options for Gladiator and GC - and all is forgiven.

..& engineer the PHeV JL/JT for RHD, pls sir.

My fear is that things are so bad they didn't have time to wait...till 2026 to get rid of him.
Yes, I found it very strange when they said he would resign in two years. Just cut out the cancer now and get on with the recovery!

Good riddance. The biggest problem was they saw the JL as the next G-Wagon or Range Rover instead of the working man's off roader like it used to be. Hopefully now the prices can come down a bit or at least remain relatively flat until inflation catches up and jeep regains some semblance of value.

Unless the new CEO walk in and says they are dumping all models except the Cherokee, wrangler and gladiator. And then tanking the price while offering simple capable models. Like a barebones manual rubicon for 30 something grand. I don’t think this will get any better. Also why can’t they adopt a build to order only policy, with factory direct orders, no salesmen and a emphasis on turning dealers into repair centers with competent and well compensated mechanics.

I hear your pain. But Jeep cannot become a strong global brand without doing well in N.A.

Happy to see him go, just not soon enough - a few years ago would have been much better.
All points made here are valid in my eyes, and to some of them I just say we can hold out "hope" that they will recognize some of the cries from N.A. and adjust toward the positive for the "loyal Jeep owners" they like to talk about.

"My impression is that there is a great deal of “woe unto me” mentality has crept into the mindset of your fine, admired and esteemed nation.""

Fine points but I will tell you that Jeep (especially the MB, CJ, Wrangler stream) is deeply woven into American fabric and we are very sensitive to how fast car companies can screw it up. It was always a simplistic off-road leader, and its overseas desire was linked to that.

The fact that Stellanis sold out completely for near term high profits so that they could pad their executive bonuses just really backfired.

The basic Wrangler is so marked up that you price people into used ones and viola, your new sales take a nosedive.

In other models, they do not offer a decent offroad worthy version. Why don't the "Trailhawk" versions have a revised interior to satisfy off roaders? The rounded luxury interiors of the GCs and Compasses are a joke in a Trailhawk and obviously dictated for commonality to save costs and decided by no one who actually does anything but mall crawl.
