IDK but in my case its minor and really nothing I would get annoyed about. I have experienced really off balanced tires/wheels and this is far from it.

Funny story. I had a co-worker that put I recall 33”s on his Pathfinder. Had some minor vibration. Drove him nuts he ended spending a crazy amount of time trying to fix it to only end up switching tire brands. he was the same guy that compiles hundreds of pages in a binder documenting issues when he moved into a new home he had built. I think sometimes you just get a bad one that no matter what is going to have a small vibration. Most people I know just live with it lol.
The vibration I get is not minor. It feels like riding over the rumple strips on the edge of roads. It's very annoying when riding at 25 mph through my neighborhood or around town. By the way, mine also does it on the way back down from 30-22mph. So it does it both ways.

Sounds like I shouldn't be getting any extra vibration from the tires I have... I'll see what we can do.
You should not unless something is truly defective with the tire (or rim). Any tire shop worth it's salt should know how to mount and balance. Your tires should have a colored dot marked on them close to the rim. Sometimes several dots. Make sure that aligns with your valve stem. It marks the lightest point in the tire's balance. (You can google that if you're curious what the colors mean.) If they did that and it still has vibration, have them break the bead and rotate the tire on the rim about 45 degrees and retry the balance. All stuff they should have done first time around. My 37's are smooth as butter with zero vibration and that should be the norm. They should not have any vibration with them.

I am getting the EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE.

Man. They rebalanced them and still it’s vibrating…. Ugh… I don’t know what to do.
Is it the same stretch of road? I've noticed that on 37s I'm much more likely to notice vibrations on certain stretches of road but it disappears on others. I've also noticed it more as the sidewalls get stiffer as it just doesn't absorb the same small vibrations as p metrics

no it doesn't really matter. Its like clockwork. anytime I git 25ish to 35ish its vibrating. I can hear it and feel it through the wheel. It can't be normal.

Two things to check…

1. Did they take off those annoying little washers off the lugs on the rotors. Most aftermarket wheels don’t account for them.

2. Hub centric rings. I did have to put some on my rig for the variance between the wheel and rotor. More for peace of mind since I’ve been doing it for years

Went back to Discount Tire this morning to have them try to fix it. The rebalanced everything again. Guy said they weren't balanced correctly. It seems like he added a ton of weights. I remember seeing 4.0 ounces at one point. It seems to be a little better, but that could be me being hopeful. But it's still there. I called and let them know. They want me to bring it back tomorrow morning so they can check all the tires again.

I am thinking of taking my spare and putting it on each tire to see which one is causing the issue before I go back. That way I can just say to them its a certain one causing it. Hopefully that works.

If not, I am not sure what to do about it.

Update: I had 2 discount tire employees ride with me and both can feel the vibration from the back. Discount Tire has order 2 new tires to try to fix the issue. Apparently the tires are balancing out on the road force machine but not in practice which doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

I will update this tread after they work on it on the 1st.

They replaced one of mine today. I think they may need to do two also. I still have a vibration but its not near as bad as before. I isolated it mostly with using my spare. The RR was the main culprit. The road force on the original tire was 28, the new one was 14. so something was definitely wrong with it.

Question for those who chimed in. Would Tired Beads help in this situation?
Not in my experience. I went through similar trials and tribulations, although not with Discount Tire. I had my 35s re-balanced twice before I threw beads in as a "last ditch" effort. I don't think the beads made it worse but they certainly didn't help. Ultimately, the beads will need to be vacuumed out of the tires in order to balance them with weights again. Balancing beads just add complexity without solving the problem. After trying balancing beads I can't recommend them but you'll also find plenty of positive stories online about them so YMMV.

I ended up calling several shops and explaining my situation and was eventually steered towards a shop with a good reputation. I explained to them my situation and they agreed to give it a shot. Turns out the third time was the charm.

As mentioned above, I think the human factor is very important, here. I had a couple shops, including a Goodyear tire center, tell me they wouldn't work on 35's or other big/heavy tires. It's a pain in the ass and physically tough to do. Be cordial and understanding.

It is also possible that one tire is "out of round". They should be able to see that on the balance machine.

What 37 inch tires are you using ?
