I disagree with the premise that the victim would have been safe if the douche that followed him home didn't have a gun. Knife, bat, run him over, beat him to death. I also disagree that odds are both would be dead if the victim was armed. Almost never happens even if the situation devolved into a full on gun fight. Generally the better shot wins. Rarely to both land critical, fatal shots simultaneously. I'll take my chances being able to defend myself over hoping the a-hole that decides to follow me home isn't armed every day of the week. I encourage everyone who is able to train and carry for exactly this type of situation. You could just be driving home when the guy passing you decides you hurt his feelings enough he is going to follow you and murder you.

And we all know why you made the assumption
Because he's an asshole that drives like an idiot, follows people home, murders them, and then tries to play victim? That's a hell of an escalation for someone without a record? I'd assume career criminal without having seen a picture. We know the playbook, you want everything to be about race. Judged on character, clearly lacking in this scenario period.

Not to victim blame, but we don’t know what transpired or if the victim was the initial antagonizer in this incident. He didn’t deserve to lose his life over it, but how many other times was he involved in an incident like this until, finally he met this maniacal Meep.
Just out of curiosity, since you brought it up and suggested that the victim could be to blame, what could the victim have done to deserve to die. With a comment like that, I have to assume you're a GenZ.

No victim deserves to die. And if this douche is trying to say it was in "self-defense" because the JT owner approached him, why the heck did he shoot at him so many times? Self-defense would be shoot and get away, unloading your clip into someone is murder I would think.

I think the murderer was embarrassed that his car started to roll away. That angered him to the point that he emptied the magazine.

I have a concealed firearm with me every time I walk out the door of my home. I treat everyone I encounter politely and with respect because I expect they are doing the same.

I don’t own a firearm but I treat people with respect. I don’t care if they are carrying a firearm. I’m not looking for trouble. But, do I lose my temper - it’s happened. Do I strike strangers - no. Would I shoot strangers (if I had a gun) - I seriously doubt I could get that angry.
This is a crazy world we are in and I wish it wasn’t so violent.

All normal people find the violence abhorrent. But the reality is civilized people have to defend themselves against the uncivilized because more and more the government is choosing to ignore violent criminals, or worse are intentionally releasing them back out into society to inflict further harm.

Yes, in my opinion it is intentional.

Like I said. An asshole. Assholes don't abide by laws. They only care about what they want. I am always armed. I have no intention of harming anyone else. Period.

I avoid idiots on the road always. I teach my daughter to just let them go ahead of you. It costs you a few seconds out of your day.

However, there are a group of people that no matter how reasonable you are, and no matter how much space you give them, it is never enough. They are simply looking to hurt people.

It's THOSE people that make me carry a firearm.

They are not reasonable, heck, they are barely human.
NJ is notoriously difficult to legally carry, but I wouldn't anyway. People are legitimately crazy in some areas around here driving. City, suburbs, rural all have their roads where crazies get impatient and wanna tear people a new one for daring to have a vehicle on the road in front of them.

I can't even get all high and mighty. Before I had a kid, I definitely engaged in my fair share of F yous, brake checking, ugly cut offs and generally dickish behavior.

Having a little one in the backseat takes all the gusto away, mainly bc I don't want to impress my messed up ego bs on her, but also bc the person in the other auto might truly not care if I have a kid in the car. They want to hurt someone for whatever disrespect they feel they've been given. At that point you're the only one that cares about doing the right thing so do what you must to keep them safe.

IMO it's simple, lead follow or get out of the way. If I pass you on the right it's because you're in the far left lane driving to slow and being an asshole. Get out of the way. If you are leading fine. If you are following fine. But for shits sake don't fucking pull Infront of me because you come up on someone driving slower than you. I don't stop on a dime. If we all drove like Europeans everything would be fine and there would be no issues. Far left lane=passing lane. Every other one of for driving. Learn how the fuck to drive people. Stepping off the soap box now. Thank you for your time.
