Nothing typically. A 5x10 with a mower on it occasionally. Maybe a 20' tandem axle when I need to move something long (once a year).

Just bought it because I wanted the 4.10 gears, wider axle, and bump in payload. Wasn't too worried about the towing.

maxtow is a solid value package regardless of max towing needs.

towing package: 895
LSD:795
That's 1690 together. for only $205 more you get the maxtow package which includes 4.10s and wide axles. I think that's $205 well spent.

As such i think you're going to find a lot of people with a maxtow not towing, or towing things significantly below their tow cap.

Nothing at the moment I have a 16ft enclosed trailer I use from time to time, I really just wanted the wide axles, LSD and 4.10 gears. I had no real use for lockers because the most "off roading" I do is drive on the beach.

Primarily a lightweight horse trailer (Brenderup) with one horse; sometimes a 5x8 with one motorcycle. Not more than 3500# so far, but through the mountains of Eastern TN and Western NC. It's a great rig for those purposes!

Or buying for payload for racks and such....... agreed it's a great value.

Still - looking to see what people are towing or hauling as it's neat just to see the pics and variety.

No pics, but I've towed my TYM 474 with loader a few times. Total weight with trailer is about 6,400. Tows it down the highway just fine. A$$ end squats a bit because of the lift kit springs, but it's not a problem.

This is an old picture but I haul this girl to the boat ramp 3-4 times a month. I'd say between 5-6000 pounds all loaded to go offshore. Of course, I live at sea level and the only "hill" is the bridge on the way to the ramp. Wouldn't want to haul it at high speeds or across mountains but the max handles my needs perfectly.

+ additional cooling and the larger alternator and I *think* larger battery. It is a solid deal.

Plus at the end of the day. there is ABSOLUTELY nothing you can do to increase the legal tow rating of a vehicle once it leaves the factory. Plenty of things you can do to make towing more comfortable, but if your truck had a 5K towing capacity when it leaves the factory, that number is tied to the VIN and can not be changed. Stick a Gladiator body on a 3500 chassis and if your using the gladiator VIN you still have gladiator towing capacity from a legal standpoint.
