It's amazing how incompetent some of these dealerships are in working with Stellantis/Jeep. You'd think it would be the easiest mutual exchange of information.

I called my dealership to get put on the list. They said they'd call me back to schedule but I could expect a 1-2 month wait.

They called me back half an hour later to schedule me for the next week because they had an extra recall HPFP on hand.

Why are some other dealerships saying they can't even get the parts? Just pure incompetence? Or complacency? Laziness? Blackballed by Stellantis? I really don't get it.

Took me 2 months. My dealership was great to talk with. I followed up, they were polite but I don't think they would have kept me in the know with shipping unless I called. The service went well and it was fixed right the first time. No leaks.

Same situation for me. IDK why there is SO much extreme hate for the ecodiesel fuel pump recall. Its happened to lots of other diesels, you get is swapped out free and no issues. Done. Yes the dealer experience is inconvenient but I keep reading tirades about getting rid of the Jeep just because of an updated pump.

Anyone have a work order with the parts list for a non-contaminated HPFP replacement. I just got mine done and it doesn't look like they replaced the supply lines, I want to confirm the part numbers for them.

Here’s the recall with all the parts numbers. Contaminated parts are marked as such.

They only replace one line on the non contaminated replacement.

From the install guide it says to discard 2 lines in the steps for an uncontaminated replacement. Doesn't look like the tube part numbers are listed, possibly they are included with the pump kit??

Talked to a tech he said "sometimes" they reuse them. I can understand why as it's a bunch more to dissassemble if you replace them. But I'm out of warranty this month and it would be shitty if they start leaking a month or two down the road because they didn't replace them. There must be a reason they are one time use items.

I’m sitting in the lobby of my service center, came for an oil change and filter replacement and the service manager told me the parts came in and asked if I wanted to get the hpfp replaced while I was here. I said yes. The tech came over and I asked him what they changed, he said they are putting in cp3 pumps.

Ask for your old pump back.

That tech doesn't know what he is talking about.

Hi all. Looking into buying a diesel gladiator, so I came here to learn as much as could first. Is there anyway to tell by looking at the hpfp on the vehicle if it has had the recall work done?

On a new truck it's hard to tell, on mine it's the cleanest part in the bay. Run the vin and see if it shows recall completed ?

Dealers should place a label on the underside of the hood with the recall number.
Fixed it for you. The dealer that did mine didn't affix any labels under the hood nor on the inside of the fuel door, and some people that have had the recall done have reported their dealerships weren't even aware the label and information packet even existed despite having clear procedures on the subject in the recall instructions.

I had to ask for the decals and the other stuff for the manual. The service writer had no idea about it.

My dealership hadn't done it, till I pointed out that the stickers were lacking. Was told the information was attached to the VIN, but was happier that the stickers were also affixed to the hood.
