i haven't "abused" mine like @WILDHOBO has so can't speak to toughness in the rocks, but so far, I've observed or seen no complaints. And the units even without the rock shields or guards are built like tanks, very strong and well designed housing.
To this day my wife comments on what a help they are and thanks me for getting them installed.

Love the pics, especially with the flag. Fitting.
The install was the easiest yet! It's the first mod in decades I actually had a shop do lol. Best thing right now is the wife is super happy.

I don't think I've hit mine on the rocks yet but they are still going pretty strong for the almost year I've had them. One of my favorite investments in the truck so far. I don't see a lot of changes to the truck as it's a good/great Swiss Army knife as it is. That's kind of what it's supposed to be so I should just leave well enough alone. (I have a 1 ton trail Jeep and a muscle car... The JT can just be what it's supposed to be. Not particularly awesome at anything but solid at a lot of things. The other two rigs scratch the other itches)

They definitely hold up as rock sliders. I’ve pivoted off of them many times. They’re amazing. And they always work at the end of the trail. I’d recommend having a few 20amp fuses in the Jeep. If they get caked in mud or frozen over on a slushy day, the fuse can blow if the motors work too hard to get them down. By design obviously to prevent damage. But when it happens, having a fuse on hand will get them back up in 60 seconds.

That's why when I wired mine in, I left the fuse holder out of site but very easily accessed. Also handy to kill power if you need to work on them for any reason - pull the fuse.
I also keep a can of silicone spray handy. I drive my JT a lot so the steps cycle up and down a lot.

Thank you Dan, Hope you keep me in mind the next time y'all decide to run those 5 trails by you, would love an invite.
Always. I wish I was going to make it closer to you next week. I’m heading for Alabama next week for a client visit, but am driving so I can hit some trails. Anytime you plan ti head in this direction, please let me know. I’d love to meet up.

Anyone having issues with the steps not working? My passenger side works fine but the drivers side will not operate. I have traced all the wires, checked fuses, checked the magnets. I am at a loss!

I've had an issue on my passenger side unit. I did just get a new control module yesterday. It's installed and so far, so good. Rock Slide tech support is awesome to work with. Well worth a quick peruse or even a call to Rock Slide. https://rockslideengineering.com/support/

I used an induction heater on the body bolts on mine it made a huge difference getting the bolts in and out. The sliders have been great so far and a big help for my wife.

I can honestly say I’d buy them again.

What doors are these?

The bit about their support has already been covered - they are about the best I've ever encountered.
But do watch for pinched wires.
It's really super super easy to catch one of the wires in a bracket when mounting the steps.
I had to really watch as 2 times as I went to tighten a bolt a wire had moved just enough it would have gotten pinched - and it wasn't easy to see.
But their support will go through a number of simple tests with you and there's also troubleshooting online.

I had a bad board on the right side of my wife's JLU - luckily I had not yet installed the steps on my JT so I took the whole motor assembly from my JT's right step and put it on my wife's JLU and it worked fine. Armed with that information, I called their support, furnished a photo of the tag on the unit/motor assembly and had a replacement in no time (I sent the problem unit back - they paid as I recall.)

Thank you for the information, I will double check all the wires again. Unfortunately I did not do the install on them as they were on the new to me JT when I bought it.
