Banks Intake Manifold Kit 41390 on 3rd gen Ecodiesel Gladiator.

It was actually in really great shape. A lot cleaner than I expected. The swirl valves were not coked up with carbon like I expected. The swirl valve actuator rod had failed and that was the reason for the fault code.

I just finished replacing the intake on my 21 JTDR and I used the Dorman intake manifold. they are identical to the factory intake manifold on my 3rd gen ecodiesel. That would lead me to assume the banks will fit your 3rd gen ecodiesel.

This is great news. Aluminum manifold is another option now.

@Vtur I think there is more to the equation than the Banks fitting. It will fit onto the intake, but it seems you would need tuning for this to work properly though. Few things I could see being an issue:
1) No EGR port in
2) Whatever that plunger on the front side does
3) It stated eliminates swirl valves

Unless someone want to try and put one of the Banks manifolds on a stock engine/stock tune and report back. I wouldn't say we have an aluminum option.

The Banks is only for deleted trucks. It won't work on a stock engine.

With all this discussion. I'm curious if you could have a one off built billet aluminum based on an OEM Mopar replacement. CNC machined including all ports and swirl valves etc. build a better mouse trap.

You are talking BIG bucks. Know of one person who made some billet inlet manifolds for the Nissan 3.7 V6 motor. Said he needed a minimum of 10 people to do it. Each manifold was $4,500 a piece. Wish i would have bought one of those. It was a work of art.

Well everyone, it works on the 3rd Gen. I have a Diesel Dudes bundle and a few other goodies. Jeep is running fine. I do have a Check engine light and my glow plug light stays on but other than that everything hooded up and is connected correctly.

I started polishing mine but got crunched on time and because it so covered up by wires I decided not to continue.

If you ever need to get it polished if you have a bullet casing vibrating polisher you might be able to use that, if you make sure to protect the machine surfaces.

I’m interested in swapping my factory intake manifold for the banks without the swirl valves. Seeing conflicting comments online if this will fit the 3rd gen engine. I’ve spoken to a few shops and they say that is does in fact fit. Even on Banks website there are multiple comments asking if it fits with two conflicting answers. Posting to see if anyone has actually done it themselves if they could post some pictures. I want to remove both egr coolers and install the manifold all at the same time.

Yes it does. I just completed my fully deleted 2021 Wrangler.
