The blanking of the license plate lights during reverse or Turn Cam sounds cool.
That should remove some glare, especially if it is raining

The software ($20 I think?)
Plus the OBD adapter ($120)
Plus the SG cable ($30)
Depending on what you want to do, the Vgate iCar Pro Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) for 32 bucks works, too.
I have one I'd sell cheap. Most things don't require the really high end adapter.

All these years later and there are still people who haven't heard about the Tazer.

Best tool a Jeep or Ram owner can have.

I think the Tazer is worth the cost of admission, regardless of how you end up using it.

I personally use it to account for various mods while I'm doing DIY installs -- LED headlights, taillights, passive / proximity entry, tire size recalibration, etc. I can verify they work correctly and keep them enabled until I'm ready to go to the dealership to have the sales codes added. Unmarry the Tazer, go to dealer, get sales codes added, rinse and repeat with next round of mods.

As for tire size, you can use it to dial in the exact tire height value for your tires and configuration until you're satisfied. Once you've got it all dialed in via independent GPS, you can give that info to the dealership for the final recalibration and not need to worry about having it fine-tuned over many visits.

Another positive for Jscan….if you have another Jeep, or a friend has a Jeep, or you sell your Jeep and buy a new one, you only have to drop $20 on another VIN license. Unlike Tazer where it’s married to one VIN and that vehicle has to be reset to unmarry and use on another.

With 3 Jeeps in my household it was a no brainer.

That's why I finally went with AlfaOBD - no tying to a VIN - can use on any FCA vehicle, Jeep Gladiator, Grand Cherokee, RAM, if I bought a Charger, whatever.

I logged the weird misfire on our Grand Cherokee with it and furnished a detailed log to the dealer. JSCAN may do that as well but I didn't have the GC VIN in the JSCAN app.

AlfaOBD is definitely a great tool. Unfortunately it’s not on iOS. So it was Jscan for me.

Both are VERY good. JSCAN is actually easier to use to do some things because of the simplicity of the menus, at least in my opinion....... and it works on iOS

Nope, once you set your tires, you don't ever have to plug it in again, unless the dealership over writes it doing an update.
My dealership wanted to sell me a $100 "service contract" where they would add the custom tire size to my sales record in the FCA system. If they ever do a PCM flash/update, those settings are tied to the VIN (like sales codes)

They are finding more and more ways to make money...

Can it activate all of the things the factory front trailcam needs? Jscan cannot. Needs AlfaOBD.

I only do it by comparing odometer to a GPS and/or phone app GPS over a number of miles.
Size doesn't actually get it right all the time either. Even size used by others or what the charts say.
Rolling diameter can be different - vehicle weight, psi, etc.
I'll set my trip meter to 0, set GPS tracker to 0, drive about 20 miles and the truck's odometer/trip meter should match the GPS exactly, to the tenth of a mile.
Is there anymore detail in how to do the rolling diameter measurement ? or is it just that simple ? Also, you mentioned a bypass cable and bluetooth adapter.. could you point me in the right direction, I would like to learn more about the JSCAN option. I have the TAZER, but I like what you are saying about it.
