My Oracle flush mounts finally arrived.

Advice on getting these to fit without a gap. Before screwing these down, really push these things home until they seat and when you think they are fully seated push them even further.

The left and right are indeed M6 x 1.0 (and the protocol with metric is that if the thread pitch isn't specified, it's "course" 1.0 is course for the M6 metric size)
I didn't put a rail on the front.
I used a M6 taper tap to clear the threads. I started the tap in a ways and back it out and as long as I didn't see any silver I figured it was going in fine and not cutting the steel.
I did clean some of the worst out with a small knife blade before using the tap. I scraped until I got down to the metal - barely.
Do you by chance know the thread size for the four(4) bolt hole threads in the front of the bed below the window...... I got an answer from another member that confused me, asked for clarification, but didn't receive any.... I thought he said M8x1.5..... but it would seem all twelve (12) holes would be the same. Thank you for any help.

We don’t have inspections in SC. The tint shop states it is legal as long as it matches the legal tint on the back. It looks darker in the pic than what it actually is. It is the heat resistant tint to help cut down on interior heat. I asked it they could lay tint over the back half and they said yes. I may do it later.

I just need to find some in channel visor vents so I can leave the windows cracked.
Where in SC you at? Im in Greenville and looking for a good tint shop...

Today I added a mopar steel stubby bumper, skid plate and hoop. I reused the plastic trim piece from the plastic bumper temporarily...I'll be adding a JCOffroad winch plate and Teraflex leveling kit once I decide on the winch, probably end up with another Warn with synthetic rope.

Nice. Looks great. I'm contemplating doing this on my Overland. Only concern I have is the fact that since I don't have a full out lift, just an added Rubicon suspension and a Teraflex leveling kit (which gave me about 2 inch from its stock form) I kind of want to keep the little lift I do have. Adding the weight I feel will take some away. I don't have much to start with lol.

Also that, plastic "close out" or trim piece as you call it, I was told when adding the steel bumper, that you need a similar but different one for the steel bumper. Seen a guy doing a Youtube video by LifeMattifed on his steel bumper upgrade and he for some reason thinks that you have to get a seperate piece for that. Although, I didn't see the point since it looked practically the same as the one I have now.

If you are willing to drive just a bit, the Tint Co. in Thomasville NC does a great job. Did my Gladiator and Cherokee. Both front windows, less than an hour and under a hundred dollars.
