🤢🤮 I can't even stand the smell of that stuff 😒
Says the feller raw dogging the packaged tuna 😜

Imagine if we were in the same space.

All the people we could offend at once.

I had to check - I usually have a tuna pack here too (I do not today).

🤣

The coffee thing at Starbucks gets me fired up. @Janster back in a day a coffee place sold coffee to travelers . Now they sell it to people who live right down the road everyday in their way to work.
I have the solution it's called a coffee thermos. And a coffee pot .
Buying Starbucks is for show & tell.
See my coffee supply and yes it's Arabica and yes it's great.i aint drinking swill.

I can relate... in the past I would stop at a Starbucks shop or others on occasions. Definitely not everyday thing though. In Germany, Italy, Turkey and rest of Europe almost always or multiple coffee shops. I've got several espresso machines/ pots and more than 3 French presses.... 40 plus years drinking coffee habit. I despise swill coffee.

I drink barely passable coffee that came from a 15 year old Keurig.

But I didn't stop at Starbies so I'm fine with it 🤣

My ole lady stops at Starbucks on occasion. Maybe once or twice a month. Or sometimes she'll go to the PJ's (local Louisiana chain) in the lobby of the hospital she works at if she is having a bad day - but that's about it.

Grocery store deli's
A grocery store near the place I worked some before I went in Army made sandwiches good price for what you got, but I figured out it was quite an expensive for daily basis, not the sandwiches but everything else you would buy on way out.
I would piss off many with my can of tuna and ramin or can of chili ect. Not ordering bringing bag of fast food garbage. Texas Roadhouse did recognize my number though as a regular call in pickup on way in. One of my "vices" was once a month minimum 16 Oz sirloin rare.
The local country store has a restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch, I would stop there on way home eggs bacon or similar, definitely a good price there.

Getting back on topic…

Another YouTuber has decided to get an engine swap since his 3.6 was shot.
He is upgrading to the 5.7 and is posting a daily log on the process. It’s a great way to understand all the different components and adjustments that have to be done to properly install the engine. He is an overlnader who’s rig is understandably heavy so I’m interested to see what he eventually gets for mileage (he’s running 38’s with a 3.5” Clayton lift..).

This is Day 1…

Yea but skipping on your $6 coffee is way more relatable than a $35,000 engine swap 🤪

I follow him on YT loosely, but I haven't caught up in a while.

I seen a posting for a Mopar crate motor last night was listed at $4000.00 must have been a fell off back of truck one. 🤔

So it’s a crate motor now if a used engine is sitting on a crate? That’s genius!

I'm seeing that one now too. A WTF from one on Ebay yesterday, it was. Not the same listing. Likely a bait and switch and why it's gone today. My guess as it wad a late night posting and gone now.
I tried to do a quick search for it and just found that as part of a list of 5.7 available.

Personally, find nothing about some dude dropping his crap off at a shop and waiting to get it back riveting, informing, or entertaining.

It is right on brand for Jeeps these days though.

I am HARDLY a pro mechanic, but I've done just enough engine swaps so far that unless you are sticking something off the wall where it doesn't usually go - I'm probably not following along.

Yes, and showing me what it takes, besides credit card debt.

Are you hacking the Can Bus? I'm in.

Are you vaguely waving at a proprietary module and uttering platitudes about buy once cry once, done properly... Whatever weiner.

We aren't rich by a long shot, but I'm glad we are the folks that occasionally go through the pantry and pick out things to leave in the blessing box at the church near the house, than picking up food boxes we don't need.
Yes... we are all blessed. We've all done something 'right' to contribute to being blessed.
The world isn't perfect, and there are days where we're all 'bending over' taking it right up where it hurts. Being 'blessed' ...you have the breathing room to take those hits and move on.

I like to 'pay it forward' at the grocery store. I'll give the cashier some cash to put towards groceries of the person behind me (the elderly). That way, I know exactly where the $ is going..... 😉

At the risk of talking about engine swaps…

I like that his has 125k miles on it and it shows AMW fixing and cleaning up stuff like his leaking transfer case and his giant mess of wiring. I’ll never have the money to do it but it’s pretty cool watching what that company builds.

I do enjoy a good sandwich though..
