Thanks for the complement. I agree the 2” lift with 35’s looks like it should from the factory. Given the longer wheel base 37’s would also look good. You just have to be up for a re-gear in that circumstance to maintain performance.

Here is one of the drivers side clearly showing the lift before and after. I think the ground clearance under the Jeep is the most revealing.

I don’t know if it’s my imagination but it seems to have a more level stance now. Looks to me like the gap between the front tire and the fender is larger than the gap between the rear tire and fender.

The front will settle some as you go. The rears are multi-rate so less prone to settling but in a couple hundred miles you should find the front to settle a bit and add some rake back

Where did you see that the springs are progressive rate? I'm assuming that's what you meant by multi-rate. I haven't seen that written anywhere.

The fronts are linear, the rear are multi-rate even stock (triple rate on the Rubicon's I believe). Not progressive but they actually have different compression zones. If you look you'll have smaller up top then about halfway down the coil becomes much thicker

Do you gain a full 2” lift form the rubicon stock suspension?
You can see from the photos below I am approximately 3-1/4 inches taller than a stock Gladiator Rubicon measuring from fender seam to the ground.

I have 35’s vs the stock 33 tires so that’s about 1-inch there. Meaning that this kit gave me 2 plus inches of lift.

Thanks for posting that, I just measured my sport in the same spot, also 48” with 340 and 343 springs and 1.5” Daystar spacer and 35” tires. Good place to measure to.

I’m running 35s, stock rubicon suspension and the 1.5” daystar. I’m just over 46”. My eventual plan is a metal cloak 3.5” lift and 37s.

Surprised it is that much lower, metal bumper or winch?

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Yes, metal bumper and winch. I was wondering too.

I was missing one of the rear sway bar nuts so I left the AEV sway bar links in place until a new pair came in. Today I installed the Rear Mopar Links.

From left to right is the stock rear link, the AEV link, and the Mopar lift kit link. As you can see the Mopar lift kit link is beefier on one end and slightly longer than the AEV link.

Both the Mopar and AEV lifts result in 2” of lift so you would assume they would be the same length.

When you consider the larger diameter shocks and stout sway bar links this lift kit continues to impress.

The rear lower control arms are torqued to 111 ft/lb + 60 or 65 (depending on end) degrees of bolt rotation. That puts them around 190 ft/lbs. If you didn’t add that, you are way under the specified torque. I don’t think anyone here is trying to suggest that a poly spacer is “better” than a rubber spring isolator, but the poly spacer is not likely to be causing your rattle. That poly spacer provides plenty of cushion for the spring, and it is always under enough spring tension to keep it from moving around. Also check the spec on the uppers if you didn’t catch the added bolt rotation after the initial torque. The rear uppers should be 185-200 ft/lbs depending on end.

This is timely. I'm just now finishing my aev install and thought it odd the rear was so much less than the front. So I'll leave it set for 190... But why don't they just say that?

It’s what the factory specs. It has to do with bolt “stretch”.

Old thread, maybe a dumb question: Anyone use only the front of the AEV spacer kit as a leveling? Specific, to the diesel, steel bumper, and winch there is quite a bit of sag in front and wonder if the AEV front lift would be a good solution?

Compensating for the sag with a spacer wouldn't be a good mechanical solution primary because the stock springs are already compressed which limits performance and comfort. Visually you may land where you desire though. I'm running the AEV 2" spacer lift on my Willys EcoD and love the kit but now that my winch and bumper are on, I'll be moving onto springs. At the time I ordered the spacer lift there weren't many (if any) diesel dedicated springs offering a moderate lift available but that has changed. That plus I wasn't sure I'd be going bumper and winch.

I plan to retain the AEV end links (Adj. front track bar already installed) and rock AEV's 2.5" Dual Sport springs. A few venders allow folks to order just the springs from AEV's 2.5" full suspension kit and they are reasonably priced at right at $550 for all 4 shipped. Part number on the 2.5" springs is NJT21505AA.

Yea this is not my 1st rodeo. All I can say is buy it yourself and see what you think.

Every bolt was torqued back down to specifications. There is a reason Mopar chose to make the SPRING ISOLATOR out of molded rubber vs polyurethane.

I’m pretty picky and it’s possible many people wouldn’t notice the difference but I do.

I’m favoring the Mopar lift which retains the factory SPRING ISOLATORS. Once I have that installed I will compare ride quality and suspension noise.
Mine has a little squeak over small bumps as well. Not over bigger bumps tho so it weird lol not a rattle but a squeak/creak sound. Not enough to hate it. Torqued everything to spec with weight on the tires. Probably should recheck but someone told me it might be stress on the track bar(stock, non adjustable). Hope it’s not the fox shocks that someone also had mentioned being an issue on some fox shocks.
