My Mojave is the same...I didn't do much of an investigation on how to back that screw out (it may be possible) as I wasn't at all concerned about taking about 1/4" -1/2" off that post. As you can see, it's not a lot to remove

Doesn't appear that they were test fit during manufacturing does it.

Having the same issue looked at Oracle's video and the rear bumper they do the install on does not have the clip that secures the tread plate on the bumper. That's a bummer I don't to cut my new lights. They will not mount on a Sport S bumper with out mods.
Those guides really serve no structural function. Theyre made of some sort of pot metal and easy to cut. Just lop one off and stick them in.

They don’t have every model. Same thing happened with the JL model, except it wasn’t friendly on one side of the steel Rubi rear. They do their best.

My concern was if I had a problem with the lights will cutting the tab cause warranty issues? On the insulation video the bumper does not have the tabs. Change by jeep not Orcale new product learning experance.

Nothing to it. Find the bundle under the hood by the battery. Choose one of the two small wires. Run a wire from there under the vehicle tie strapping along the way. Tie that wire to the left and right red wires coming off the lights. Tie the black wires coming off the lights together and run it to a ground. Select battery hot or key hot in the settings area of the radio depending on how you want them powered.
Thanks for this...seems simple enough. What wire gauge do you recommend?

Mine should be here Friday! So install will follow as soon as they arrive. I ordered the install kit so hopefully as close to plug and play as possible.

Hey Everyone!

We did all prototyping and test fitting on a Rubicon with the steel bumper. After looking further into this, we do see that the plastic bumpers have the treadplate bolts in slightly different spots.

In order to get passed the one bolt that is obstructing, all you need to do is pull off the inner most guide pin from the light.

Just to be clear, this isn't a design flaw of the light. Simply a structural difference between the two versions of the bumper. Our reverse light is identical in structure to the OEM reflector in every way besides being made of a more sturdy material (Cast Aluminum) You'll notice the same obstruction will occur if you try to place the OEM reflector back in.

I hope this helps!

Hi Rick,

Removing the 1 guide pin will not affect your warranty. I put my stamp on it :like:

You better hope to hell that if you kick those on while driving that it's not a cop behind you.
I doubt he will see the humor in that move.
Just a thought that might save you some hassle at the least, and most likely a guaranteed ticket for sure.

I just installed mine using the PNP harness and was getting a "Blind Spot Unavailable" error. Once I removed the PNP harness...the error went away. I would like to avoid tapping my factory wires if possible.

I emailed customer service and awaiting their response.

This was on a 2021 Sport S w/ LED tail lights & blind spot sensors.
