Got my revised extender today, woot! This weekend I'll put the tail light connector back on its rail, put in the extender, maybe throw some silicone around the base of the wire for strain relief and it should be golden. Or hot glue. Hmm. What's best for that?

Good news! Lights are in with proper fitting extension. The Oracle back up lights are a great improvement over only factory backup lights and they really light up the rear of the Gladiator. I am very happy with the final install and operation of the back up lights.

Looks like your neighbor is going to really appreciate you coming or going late at night or early in the morning. LOL.

So if a person was to order these now, do they come correctly ready to install?

I am waiting a couple of months before I pick up a pair.

Received and installed my extension wire too. Lights work perfect and really let you see behind you now. I give them a 4.5 out of 5. I’d give 5, but I’m concerned with the lack of stress relief in the wires going into the lights themselves. Would be nice to hear from Oracle on their design decision here.

Got my new extension wire. Will probably wait until Thursday to install it when I have some time.

My new extension wire fits perfectly. I had enough slack to reattach the light harness to its mount, I wrapped the other wires in tubing, and zip tied everything to factory wire bundles to keep it out of the way. I’m satisfied now.

Mine came today too, along with the PnP harness.

Initial inspection of the lights themselves indicates a quality part. On the bench, I dry fit the screw-in connectors from the PnP harness to the lights and all seems good there. Didn’t require excessive pressure to fully seat and secure those connections. No idea how well it will do with the harness connectors in the truck or how long the extensions are. Fingers crossed on both of those fronts.

Worst case, it gets wired up to the aux switches that are also on the way. Honestly, I may end up doing that anyway, depending on their brightness.
Got mine installed today with no issues. PnP harness had no issues with either side of the harness at the drivers taillight, plenty of length to reach both lights and no problems with either screw connector.

Also don’t seem to have any flashing issues despite not having any other LEDs on the truck. Who knows…. I’m not going to tempt fate though and will be getting some LED reverse bulbs for now and likely Oracle’s flush mount LED tails at a later date.

Not sure anyone else has had this problem, but my vehicle just failed Virginia State safety inspection because the lights are not DOT/SAE approved. Guess I'll be switching back so I can get the rejection sticker removed from my windshield.

You know, for being the very cradle of freedom's birth, Virginia kinda sucks in the personal freedoms dept. Just disconnect them or put them on a switch. It can't be illegal to have switched aux lighting can it? I tossed the box already, but I'm guessing it said "for off-road use only".

I thought the rule was you couldn’t have lights above 36”.
