They have not notified me yet for my 2018 Wrangler. I'm curious about that since mine is one of the oldest out in the wild. I was told on delivery that it was in the very first batch of manuals sold and the very first one delivered in the state of Indiana. I've got 93k on it now. It performs and functions flawlessly, as it always has, but you would think they would fix the oldest ones first, after the unsold units at dealerships, of course.

I may contact the dealer but then again, I don't really want them to mess up a good thing. The good news, though, is my dealership has a couple of VERY good techs that are very experienced with manuals.
They did 23s first, then 18s, and just recently added 19s. If you look at the stats Jeep submits to NHTSA there are just as many "unreachable" owners as their are repairs being performed.

IMO 93k miles is the perfect time for a brand new clutch for free. No matter how good a manual driver you are this is still a 5,000# truck, and a clutch lifetime over 150k is rare unless you live somewhere with very few stop signs and red lights

Not sure why they haven't contacted me. I've not been hard to find. I'll reach out to them Monday to see what gives.

I know what you mean. When this first was announced, I had figured they would start with the oldest first. But, of course I was wrong. Not the first time. I checked the app and still shows "parts unavailable" for mine.
No time frame was given for delivery of the parts. I've been patient this long so not expecting a rush on delivery. Fortunately have a GC to drive once the parts are here as I know I'll have to leave it for several days. I just want them to take their time, do it right and make sure everything is correct. I'll update when I hear anything new from my dealer.

*Update*
Called my dealer today to see if my parts had come in. As they had called me two weeks ago and asked if I wanted them ordered...And low and behold....no one had ordered any of my parts in the preceding two weeks. I spoke to parts and while I had her on the phone I made sure she ordered what all was needed for this warranty work. I also was obviously annoyed that no parts had been ordered as of yet. If you call me and ask "do you want us to order your parts?" and I say "YES", then order the parts. I shouldn't have to call back for status and be told sorry, we haven't ordered them.
Now waiting patiently hoping all the correct parts have been ordered and my truck won't sit there for eternity because someone forgot something. Time will tell.

Got the call today. Parts are in (so I'm told). Dropping off Monday afternoon. They've said it would take a day or two to perform the work.

After all the reports of the new clutch programming causing limp mode on sand, I'm not sure you could convince me to get that recall performed right now.

And Jeep's response of: "This is functioning normally" gives me zero confidence they have any interest in fixing it. A tow or slow drive to the dealer every time I hit the beach? No thank you. Maybe the 4th clutch recall is the charm.

Hard to get too mad at these guys; manual transmission are bleeding edge tech. They really need some time to figure them out.

In my JLUR manual, I've run around in sand a bit and did not experience that. But I am not a big fan of wild wheel spinning, even in sand, so maybe it does it with more extreme spinning. I've done it a few times for short bursts (I've got 4.56 gears, so it is a breeze to break them loose), but nothing extended.

That said, spinning tires, even in sand, is hard on the drive train. It frequently puts shock loads on axle and drive shaft joints as well as U-joints. Not a great thing to do, IMO. Catch a rock under that sand and you not only get the shock load, but you also may cut a tire.

I'm convinced, however, that without any of the recalls, mine would have been fine. It has never had an issue.

Just had my “fix” for the exploding cutch on my 2022 Gladiator. 3000 miles in I received the recall notice and 27000 miles later they addressed the issue. First off I love my jeep. BUT At 73 with dozens of new car purchases the gladiator is the only one I’ve purchased extended warranty. AND my dealer talked me out of mopar ext warranty. For 25000 miles I avoided, or worried about taking my grandkids out in my Jeep. It’s one thing for an adult to exit an exploding jeep, but getting children in buckled and out of car seats really concerned me. Now for the good news…. My Jeep drives better than the day I bought it. Before the fix it keep slipping in 3rd and 4th gear during acceleration. It would kick out of gear when on cruise control. And the automatic stop/start A thingy would error out on my dash and many of the other helpful indicators would disappear. Hopefully alls well that ends well. But I’m not happy spending 3500 on an extended warranty and over a year worried about burning up my grandkids.

Dropped off this afternoon. Said it will take a few days to complete so we'll see. I'll post once I pick it up and see how she drives then.

Got the notification, parts finally available. August 2019 build. Just dropped it off. They're saying Wednesday. 77000 miles and still no issues with the clutch, but I'll take a fresh clutch on their dime.

Not the fresh clutch i'm worried about, it's the new overly aggressive software that can't read temps so it guesses slippage=overheat and goes into limp mode that requires a dealer visit. Bad look for an offroad truck. Sometimes you gotta slip a little on obstacles.

You can get JScan or Tazer now and reset the service transmission light. Both companies listened to what we needed and put out updates.
