My wife just got a Willys 4xe and I have to say that it is pretty badass. I installed a 40 amp fast charger in the garage. Full charge from 0% in 2 hours. she gets 27 miles on a full charge. We have had it almost a month and have yet to add fuel. When the JT comes out with a 4xe I will be all over it.
Do you intend to tow anything with it?

I felt the same, I have a small commute and have free charging stations at work but then came to realize the way these prices are trending there is NO way I could afford one when they do come out. They have to be 80k at least and the tax write off is half of what it used to be so I picked up one of the great deals on a 2023 and upgraded to a rubicon instead.

No that’s what my gladiator is for.
That's what I'm asking, if you buy a 4Xe Gladiator, do you intend to tow with it?

I do, the wife's 4xe tows great, other than its not quite as long of a wheel base as the gladiator. When the gladiator 4xe comes out i'll be looking at one for sure.

None of your business :)
I've owned bmw IX EV since last Nov and already racked up about 8k miles (both short intown and long freeway commutes). Do home charging at discounted Smud rates from 12 midnight to 6am. My bill has gone up like $100/month but been charging the IX to hell and back and my Ranger has been sitting in the garage collecting dust.

However, I do understand these EV are now like disposable cars and there's no 'keeping after 100k' . Tires also get wrecked cos of EV weight but other than tires, virtually ZERO maintenance. However, winter driving really sux for any EV ..I get 330 miles consistently in summer but winter driving drops it to 250 miles (and quick drop with heavy load and wind drag).

And another main reason why I'm trading my Ford Ranger towards the '23 diesel Glady sometime later this year. I'd rather have the best of both worlds..use the EV for intown short commute and use the oil burner for longer road trips (and for my summer camping/fishing trips). I never see myself going full EV (or even plug in hybrid) for 100% of my vehicles.

Wonder what that Pentastar Upgrade will be.

Toyota is bringing the X-Runner back with the TT I6 from the Tundra.........so Toyota is going to win the HP/TQ game in the mid size segment
I saw up to 315 hp in one article. I see Ram 2025 etorque w/305hp 269tq.

What if consumers banded together and demanded products that were deserving of their hard earned money? What do you think would happen?

Any action would just need to cause the company to lose enough money to counteract the money they're receiving from other sources to produce said products.

If that happened, then sure they would probably listen.

The perfect combo would be a diesel hybrid. The zf 8 speed is already set up for this.

There wouldn't be anything available that you wanted to buy.

Our demands are no longer near the top of the list. Government regulations are now controlling many of the design and production decisions.
