I think with this radiator if you went with a lower temprature thermostat and programming that would lower your overall operating temps and the starting point of the oil temprature spike will be lower buying us time?

Im concerned with the paralell setup off the factor housing oil ports....your cooling oil through a cooler then its getting directly mixed with the hot oil that is going through the factory cooler....what good will that do? We determined the factory cooler can only keep it down around 250-260. So why are we cooling to 190-200 and then mixing it with 250 degree oil?

Seems like that is not the way to go.....
I hope the answer to this isn't as obvious as it appears to me.

i crawled under last night, looks like there is space to use a bigger (deeper) oil/coolant exchanger, if one with similar port locations and H x W could be sourced. It would just take rebending some aluminum tubes to run below the exchanger instead of next to it.

The bigger exchanger would dump more heat into the coolant system.

Need to bypass the coolant to oil filter, either a plate or plug the coolant side
Just install a bypass valve in the coolant line.

Point is....Diminishing returns. If the volume of hot oil exceeds the cooled oil and your mixing them....not much benefit to be had right?

Yeah.......no shit........ LOL
Someone mentioned the coolant line actually passes to the EGR so cant be capped off?

Anyone pull the routing schematic?

This is all speculation right now since we don't have any reports back from anyone that has a substantial cooler with higher flow who has loaded to max GCVWR over 100° and tried to climb a 6%+ grade at the speed limit.

Maybe the cooled oil "Mixing" with the hotter oil that was just cooled by the water to oil cooler would be enough to keep overall oil temp under the threshold of overheating? I can tolerate the 40mph up the hills with a bigger load, but overheating and on the side of the road at 10mph is not OK.

Maybe the external cooler with 1/2 hose with -8 fittings flows better than the OE Oil to Water cooler and most of the oil flow through it instead?

Cant you route the water back to itself in the cooler side but bypass the oil around the cooler using the two plugs on the bottom to route the oil lines
