11,000 miles, no issues. Use 1.5 oz. hot shot each fill since 3k miles. Had the DEF recall flash a few weeks ago, no noticeable difference.

Sorry to hear that. Do you have any other details? Any sketchy diesel pump fuel-ups? Did you ever check or drain water out of the fuel filter/separator?

Just curious, as maybe if we see a trend we can narrow down what the largest issue is that kills CP4's.
No sketchy fuel ups, I try to fuel at high turnover stations, if possible. Fuel/water separator drained ever 2k miles or so with no moisture ever noted. This is my fifth diesel vehicle, and the forth in the last ten years, so I'm no stranger to the maintenance requirements. The last EcoDiesel (2015 Grand Cherokee), had 72K on it when we traded it in with zero issues. Both Powerstrokes were relatively issue free (the first, a 2012, had a fuel pressure regulator fail, but that was all). I am super meticulous about maintenance on the diesels and usually get it done early (fuel filters, oil changes, etc.) just to prevent these kinds of issues.

Ok man thanks. That makes it even more painful.

Retarded...err... I mean Retired
Only have 3,200 miles on mine and love it.
Got 269,000 on my 2003 7.3 Powerstroke. (Wish the JT had that same turbo whine you can hear!)
From all I've read on the Ecodiesel, the fuel pump gives the most problems. The DEF issues seem to be software related. I've heard zero complaints on any other engine component, so to me at least it's a solid engine. Of course time will tell and we start getting some folks on here with 100,000 miles or more on theirs.

13,000 miles and just got told last Friday during an oil change that I am leaking oil from the Timing Cover. Parts backordered with no ETA.

Just under 10k, had a rear main seal about 3k ago. The leak may have been my fault.

Ok I'll bite, how could you have caused that aside from ultra low viscosity oil, or some kind of trauma to the driveline?

About to hit 6k miles with no issues. I did the first oil change myself at 5k and use 1 oz of hot shots at each fill up. I have a build date of October 2021 and still haven't been notified about the def reflash. Currently on take off Mojave wheels and tires and average about 22.5 mpg combined.

Got majorly high centered and had to be yanked out by a dually and it took quite some jerking. Dealer says the strain may have caused it. Still covered.

7.6k with no issues. I put additive in every other fill up. No issues at all, knock on the diesel tank! Dont even start with the fuel pump crap...I keep my filter drained, and will change it out every other oil change, so like every 10k or so.

How often is everyone draining their fuel filter? About to hit 6k and haven't done it yet.

22k and mine just came in, no issues, never drained it once. Local dealer said 30k but I want to swap it before a cross country trip we have coming up.
