Yeah. Similar strategy. Jeep emailed me saying a dealership across town had a few aftermarket ones. I rushed over and grabbed it. When I took it to the dealership where I bought the truck they said it was a cheap Chinese knockoff and would void the warranty. Fortunately I still had the email from the same day and they reluctantly used it. There was no other option.

That sounds like BS to me - as long as it meets the specs, they can't say "it will void warranty".
If you used a roll of toilet paper, yeah, but to simply say "it's a cheap Chines knockoff and will void the warranty" - I'd take them to task on that kind of talk.
As long as it meets specs, doesn't matter who made it or where it's from.

Dealerships have the authorized flexibility to use aftermarket service parts they source if certain shortages arise. They just have to inform the customer and annotate it on the service order.

Most good dealership service departments know this.

I am quite sure that the oil filter for the 2023 will not be different than the previous years.

Seems like a competitive offer, buy it!

Why does fleabay say it doesn’t fit the 23 Rubicon Gladiator?

Any time you see something like that, look up the part in other resources, NAPA, O'Reily's, or even on the MOPAR sites like Benny's AllMOPARParts dot com.

Often fleabait uses standard charts supplied by others - that aren't correct.
Iv'e seen the same on Amazon and other places, so I always confirm via other resources.

I would like a 3.0 in my Glad but not all the smog devices that go with it. I just got the recall done on my 6.7 Cummins. In 2 years I'll probably want the 540HP I-6.

$20 I just ordered and received 3 of these 100% Mopar factory filters ???
You 100% sure they are genuine MOPAR? That seller's other items are all over the place selling for many other different brands besides MOPAR. Some of the counterfeit fakes being presented are pretty good in appearance in many cases.

The only way I trust Ebay "OEM" parts is if the EBay seller is actually a dealership and they include the dealership letterhead receipt parts invoice when they send it.

I suppose at this point there are no longer truths, only untruths….

There's a different between aftermarket vs counterfeit parts. It's kinda like medication vs supplements. One is copy to meets specs or better vs one who copies with unknow materials or ingredients.

Ebay filter above is a counterfeit.

For awareness- this was shipped from garland Texas Jeep LOL so for anyone in that area, they are selling counterfeit filters on eBay. Be advised.

To the point that the dealership print off in the box, and the label on filters are fake…

In the pursuit for self betterment, can someone please advise on how to procure non counterfeit filters from Jeep dealers? Wasn’t aware there was such a pandemic….

If someone came to the board with an ethical post- as in those look stolen- I would probably agree, I am willing to bet a significant amount of parts on eBay that are new, are likely stolen…. But to say that they are fake? ?? come on guys. The level of detail to counterfeit the filters, the shipping labels, the packing sheets… Geesh. If they are fake ??? their counterfit process appears to be as strict as a wix filters QC/QA so I suppose I’m ok with it. Not quite a Donaldson/amsoil…. But I’ll live. If you feel better walking into your parts counter- by all means. ;)

I posted with the intent to literally give a cheaper option. If you don’t like it, or are skeptical, please don’t buy… ???

It looks exactly like the one I just changed in my JT. The only difference is the box.
