Bfg MT 35 x 12.50s on stock sport 17 x7.5 wheels. 2” leveling chop, air dams removed, max tow fenders, no rubbing while flexing but may if sway bars are disconnected.

I am sticking with stock size, but I am putting Duratracs on this weekend. I had them on one of my JKUs and they were great tires. I like the look and they perform well in mud, snow, etc. A little soft for rock crawling, but I don’t do that anymore.
Are you sure you don't want to go just one size taller...... ?!?!

Here is my Overland with 17's from a JL, ended up this way as I already had the Falken AT3W's in 285/75r17, dealer exchanged the 4 overland rims for 5 of these, mounted and installed them no charge. Had I not already had these tires with only 500 miles on them I would have gone with my preferred 285/75r18... Not quite at full stuff here, sway bar disconnected, with a JKS 3.5 inch lift, the lift runs either a 2 or 3 inch front bump stop.. i am confident that 35's will rub quite a bit with no extension to bump stops with the sway bar disconnected. but.... all those 285/75r18's are looking great!!

Went with duratracs in a 275/65/18, just a bit wider than stock per the recommendation of others on forum.

the duratracs get great ratings, haven’t had any issues in snow or ice as of yet

was able to get $300 on Facebook marketplace for the original tires with 400 miles on them. Took a little dent out of the $1000 I spent on the wranglers

Tires look great on it.

What kind of difference did you notice on ride and noise?

rides a tiny bit rougher than the stock overland tires, but not bad. Lost 1-2 mpg. Haven’t noticed much difference in noise but I usually have radio blaring

Hey guys! ALL your tire upgrades look great! I’m thinking the same thing 285/70(or 75)/R18 Do you have to recalibrate speedo? Or anything like that? thanks!

Thanks for the response and feedback.
They certainly make the vehicle look better and I was guessing in the ride and noise. Didn't even think about the gas mileage impact...

It will throw your speedo off a couple mph. I didn't recalibrate mine, I just go the speed limit and figure if I'm 2-3 over I'm safe either way. It's easy to recalibrate if you want it dead on though, the difference was minimal I didn't worry about it.

There's a few threads floating around here, but here's mine 285/70 Cooper's. I was in the same boat I liked the factory wheels just wanted a more aggressive tire.

I like that black grill. I assume you swapped that out? I thought about doing the same to my gator green JT.

Thanks for sharing - these are exactly what I was thinking about getting, so was good to see a pic and hear your thoughts. A slightly rougher/louder ride is worth it. A guy at work said it perfect about the Overland with stock tires - "the truck looks great, but those tires makes it look like a rental", ha!

First thing I did was replace tires. Nitto Ridge Grapplers 33 12.50 18 size

no problems fitting those on the stock Overland wheels? I was looking at those tires, but TireSize.com says they need a minimum 8.5” wheel, and I think the stock Overland wheels are 7.5”.

NTB recommended and installed. They are the worst tires I've owned so far and maybe that is why. Maybe not the worst, but no near as good as the terra grapplers I had on my Tacoma. Maybe that's why. Do you know what problems would happen from putting them on too narrow a wheel?
