I just want to say that Nacho is a cool ass color. One of those that has to be seen in person. đź‘Ť
Thanks. Is yours hydro blue? If they had that color in stock when I bought mine, I'd have given it serious thought. I've owned my share of blue cars (a Subaru BRZ, a WRX STi, and I still own a Blue '73 beetle). But I do really like nacho.

I've usually swapped into the new model every 3 years or so but always bought b/c of modding vs lease.

I plan on keeping the Gladiator for the long haul and will just add others to the garage but this will need to stay, I doubt I'll ever sell unless they come out with the 392 version.

If it lasts, long haul. My first car I had for 9 years. Then "short timers" no longer than 4 years. I was going to keep the Expedition long term, but it started falling apart before reaching 100k. GPS went out, HVAC acting up, rust on the aluminum liftgate, grille "chrome" starting to bubble. With the used car market heating up, I sold it to make room for the JT.

Our A4 is 10 years old now, so it's time to start looking for a replacement for that.

I plan to keep it until the end...me or it. Fortunately I'm in the southeast US and don't have to deal with road salt induced rust issues. I'm 55 and have a history of driving vehicles well into the upper 100 thousand mile range and beyond. My daily driver is a 2000 Nissan Frontier, 4-banger, 5-speed, with 210,000 miles. I sold my 2006 Subaru Baja Turbo 5-speed last year with 140,000 miles and only sold it due to the lack of aftermarket part support, the dwindling OEM parts availability and the need for a lower-geared vehicle for off-road excursions - hence the JTR. The Baja Turbo was only produced for 3 years with a very limited following and a niche market. I come by it naturally, as my mom kept her TJ 4.0 for 20 years & 265,000 miles and only sold it due to frame rust (midwest road salt) and my dad was no longer around to take care of the minor issues which kept arising.

Lift: None and do not plan on adding a lift (well maybe 1.5" at most, at some point.)

Tires: Stock, but will probably go to 35's when my 33's need replaced.

I have told myself for the last 10+ trucks I have owned that I was going to keep it until the wheels fall off but that has never worked out.

I have no clue where the long term situation is with my Gladiator. Love it, but cannot guarantee something else will not catch my eye.

With the money invested and the plan to put more in I'm keeping it until it doesn't go anymore. I don't wheel as often as I like but hoping to change that once the boys get older and location changes.

I had to ask myself this question before starting serious mods... Is THIS Gladiator my FOREVER Gladiator?
I bought it cause it was the first used one to pop up in central Arkansas, and was a really good deal at 3,500 miles.
I Knew I wanted the 6MT if at all possible, I got it. The only thing I wanted that I couldn't change was Gator and a Diesel engine.... then I wanted Sarge Green with a tan soft top. When I saw the diesel was automatic only, and folks were having some issues with it, I was pretty well sold that my black'n'silver truck would be the one to build.
I'd LOVE a sarge green truck with a diesel, 6MT, Centerforce clutch, tan twill soft top, tan twill Bestop Supertop... But that doesn't exist and never will.
First mod for a forever truck was the HGP Gorilla glass windshield. Then a really nice suspension... Next are gears and a Centerforce clutch.

TL;DR - Forever. then a 4BT swap for the forever after forever.

May be going sooner than later... Just over 2k miles and in the shop... 4th jeep has not been a favorable experience, but if it goes another will take it's place.

I plan on driving this one to the nursing home if I live that long. My last truck was a '96 Chevy 1500 that I bought used in 1999. Drove that truck 21 years and gave it to my nephew when I got this one. This is my first and likely only ever new vehicle purchase.

Well, considering I kept my 93 Grand Cherokee (6 cyl) for 280,000 miles and an 02 (V8) for 200,000 miles and both still running well, I plan on this Gladiator for at least as long, or the end of my life, whichever comes sooner...

Hopefully for a while. I plan to make full use of the 7 year unlimited mile warranty. I'm just under 12k miles after 3.5 months

I normally keep my vehicles for a while. My Navigator has 150k on it in 7 years, and the Impala has been in my family since 1972.

I fully plan on keeping my JTRD a long, long time. This is the only vehicle that I've ever purchased an extended warranty on. I will always need a truck. A capable truck that is. Just love the way this truck looks. It has the 2 inch mopar lift. Getting new wheels this week (17's). Was going to put the 37 inch Nittos on it, but decided to just use the stockers for awhile. Plus ... the wife is having trouble getting into the jeep as is.

For several years I had a mustang convertible and a truck. The Jeep was the compromise between those two. I really like only registering and insuring 1 vehicle. The gladiator does everything i need.

i went through several years of buying/trading, something like owning 9 cars/trucks in 7 years. But I’m almost to two years in the gladiator. No imminent plans to get something different.

But…. that new EV hummer truck looks appealing. I’ve been a diehard manual guy, but the hummer with removable roof and a 0-60 of three seconds might make me give up the 3rd pedal someday.

Well, for the foreseeable future. I'm getting to be an old guy so much depends on how long I can keep enjoying it and doing what I love, exploring the high desert.

If I still have it when the bumper to bumper warranty is close to ending I will probably look into buying an extended factory warranty from one of the on-line sellers.

As far as mods I wanted to keep it simple and reliable. Rubi take-off wheels/tires and a Mopar lift. I also did Overland running boards to make it easier for the wife, a spray-in bedliner and a Fabtech short rack.

I like this truck and hope to have it for some years.
