All we have to do is get gas back to $3 a gallon and offer the Gladiator with a real engine. Gas engines are clean enough.
If this ever happens in our lifetime it will only be momentary. And within a five year period I would be shocked if they weren’t well above double the number
Mentioned.

On defining the term clean, a factual understanding in the matter of CO2..and it’s relationship with our planet over the eons (geological time periods) is essential to understand precisely why this is not a true or correct thing to say.

It is a truthful thing to say this: every technologythat reduces the long term demand for oil and gas is playing a part in saving life on earth as it is currently known.

back to topic ..

..gladitor won’t be cancelled. It’s the only interesting vehicle jeep have made since the tj. Jeep will sort out the powertrains. We all should be real proud of jeep pioneering phev, and having the guts to stick phev in solid axle trucks!! What an epic company

Yup. It's fun for what it is but it tries to do too much. It not big enough for big truck stuff, too long for a lot of wheeling stuff, and it's a shit daily compared to anything else. I think that's the great weakness because aside from time in the dirt or the looks, there's zero reason to buy one over a Tacoma... especially now that the Taco has much more power.

So back to Toyota in a 4Runner for a better daily and a YJ to get the buggy treatment for when I want to be stupid. The 5x8 I have fills in the lack of bed and I don't really tow more than that anyway.
cool so you paid just as much for a SUV and have a extra vehicle u paid for and now two insurances. ya sounds smart lmao

lol. There is no way Jeep is going out of business anytime soon. Only a moron would think that.

With the Tacoma outselling the Gladiator last year 5 to 1 and the 2023s lined up on the lot I drive by every morning I believe this is a valid question.

I bought one last month. I sure hope it isn’t cancelled anytime soon. I enjoy the truck and want the platform supported by as many different aftermarket companies as possible.
That be regional ,the dealer I bought both of my jeeps from has very little for gladiators and wranglers except the 4xe which they are almost giving away. Just saying.

Only 4 in stock at our dealer and they are listed at MSRP - some "sale price". I bet no one bothers looking up the window sticker price LOL.
I checked, their "sale price" is MSRP.

And they are selling them. They had 2023s when I was there last fall - not any more. These appear to be doing ok in our area.

They have 15 non 4xe Wranglers, only 2 of those are 2023 model year.

They have 2 Gladiators listed (I'd have to check with my sales guy to see what the heck is up with that - normally that have about 10 of them, it's weird) The Gladiators listed are 2024. 3 weeks ago they had a couple of 23s left.
This is traditionally an MSRP dealership - you'd have an easier time kicking a field goal from 100 yards away than getting below their sticker price.

4Runners are at least $10k cheaper than Gladiators in my area. You can get a 2023 TRD Off Road premium down to about $40k.

I don't know what his company does or what his rates are where he lives, but around here, I could get a full size pickup, stick it in the low mileage category (meaning under xx miles per year) get a heavy discount, and possibly insure another more daily vehicle all for a cost not much more than what insurance on a Jeep costs. Insurance on a Jeep is expensive - I got insurance sticker shock when I moved from my Silverado to a Gladiator. I was insuring that Chevy truck and a WJ for about the same as what my Gladiator costs - I thought - so much for cutting down from 2 to 1 and saving money. And to make it worse - license fees on the Chevy and WJ combined were no worse than the JT annual fees.

In other words, I'd imagine that some people could own, insure and license 2 vehicles for not a lot more than what one Gladiator might cost.

Really hard to judge what's good or bad for another person based on your own very restricted circumstances and point of view.

A lot of places will let you insure your toy Jeep as an off road vehicle/UTV/RV type of thing for super cheap. We even have a separate "off highway vehicle" registration that is like $12 if all you're doing is running trails.

Gotta be honest - no compelling reason to trade at this point.
Besides - moving over:
RSE power steps
Plow hardware and the massive amount of wiring involved
Winch, wiring, solenoid
backup lights and wiring to run them from the aux switch and while in reverse,
...........
Starting over with tonneau cover latches, 12v and USB outlets in the bed, tailgate ladder, springs, phone mount, all of the stuff I've added or changed. It would take pretty much a week every day all day to move stuff over or start over.
The snow plow itself took hours and hours - and the Mojave sits way too high for the plow mount. I'd have to buy other mount kit.
Mojave springs would be too soft to carry the weight so I'd have to do another spring swap - and first, figure out which springs I'd need (took two tries on my Overland)
OMG.
I really don't feel like dealing with all of that unless some really fantastic friends said "hey, I'll come move all that stuff over for you".
I have been looking at that one, very similar to what I ordered. If that was close to me, I would just go buy it.
