We discussed this a few pages ago(edit: it is in the thread about leaking seals not this thread, sorry). Yes there is but seemed it was within a week of the MDH# so no need to change how to track this until we establish firm start and end dates.

Ah no problem. Its deep in that other thread. The date is stamped into diff cover and 3 of the numbers indicates the day of the year by number.

I got my 21 Mojave with 6747 miles serviced last week and noticed a weird sound like a bad belt in a tire and pulling to the right afterwards. I got underneath it today and found the RR axle seal leaking. I don’t think the pulling to the right is related to the leaking axle seal, but I’m wondering if the noise is related.

My MDH is 121307.

I spoke to the service manager because I was not happy that the tech just rotated the greasy wheel from the back and never said anything about the leak. He had me bring it right over and they immediately ordered a new RR axle shaft. It’s supposed to be here tomorrow and install on Wednesday.

I think there should be a poll on what type of axles are leaking.

My RR axle shaft was replaced, noticed the leak after 10k miles; '21 Overland with LSD.

Got new tires around 4000miles and noticed the seal was leaking

So from what I can search still no official recognition or explanation from FCA? Seems a fairly common problem with probably more driving around not even noticing the leak yet.

Update yesterday, Tech tore it apart and didnt find any damage to the seal, said they had no idea why it was leaking again. I asked " could it be a problem with the machining on the housing?" thier anwser was "the machining on the seal looked fine." ?‍

In the other thread a fellow with a build date of 7-21-21, has the RR leak. So looks like the issue may continue straight through the 21 models.

Just under 8000 miles and I tow often. I followed the towing break in 500 miles or what ever it was keeping the seed down. It was a pain taking the time so I just pulled a loaded trailer around town often. It’s a diesel. No leaks.

Add me to the leaking right rear seal club. Called the dealer today and they said there are 375 in line in front of me and it will be months before they can get the parts to do the fix... They said if I don't hear from them in two months, to give them a call to remind them. Great.
