So, summer is here. Who's going where???

Well, now that summer is upon us, what are your travel plans this summer with your campers?

Me, over my birthday week, I'm going to Cooperstown, NY to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame then , in the same week, I'm going to Ticonderoga, NY. 1) to visit the fort as the last time I was there, I was like 4 years old (1967) and all the guns and cannons firing had me soiling my drawers so, it's time to go back, now that I can appreciate it. Then 2) whilst I'm there, I am going to visit the Star Trek museum where they have reconstructed all the original sets from the original series. Yeah, I'm still a Trekkie

The hardest part will be not doing a bunch more while you are there things.

Just got home from a 7000 mile trip from Virginia to California and back. 16 days, $1800 in gas but best trip ever. Took our new JLU instead of the JT just for inside cargo room.

Last month. Went from south of Pittsburgh to Colorado for a funeral, then to Kansas to visit an old friend. Then to Branson Missouri for vacation. All total, did just over 3,200 miles.

In September, we're going to Mountain Home Ar. to visit my wifey's younger brother and start looking for a new home there.

Driving to the mountains in northern New Mexico around the Taos area. It's a yearly trip for us thanks to family there, so not the most exciting, but I've got a new telescope that I'm wanting to use for some astrophotography. Great night skies there 100x anything I can see here in DFW.

Left out on June 29th from Crockett Texas headed to Destin Florida in motor home, flat towing the Gladiator. First night we stayed at Frog City RV Park in Louisiana, then next morning we traveled to Foley, Alabama staying at Ahoy RV Park. July 1st we’re at Destin staying until the 12th. First vacation we’ve been on in a while. Just the wife, I and two dogs.

From central Florida, stopped in Louisiana for two day to see some old friends. Texas to see some old fiends. Up to Arkansas with a few more old friends. Back home. 2 week trip.
It’s great being able to see the friends that are still alive.
We all say we will do it again if we make it

We're mid purchase on a distressed property I intend to use as a cabin in Michigans UP, very close to the birdge, cities, and the trail network, pretty excited.

Too hot to do anything here in the summer. We do all of our local stuff late spring / early fall.

October I locked in going back to Moab, though. And earlier summer we took a long weekend to the beach.

Just returned from a week at Silver Springs State Park https://www.floridastateparks.org/silversprings

It was hot. I had planned on taking my puppy with my kayaking in the springs. Come to find out pets are not allowed. Bummer. I went without her. Ended up doing most of the hiking trails early in the morning with her. I had to carry her 2 miles on one of them. Glad she only weighed 20 lbs.
